Got these mats to replace the factory 2007 Honda Accord EX back mats, because the back factory mats are carpet and will absorb mud stains, salt grime, and grease too easily when old man winter comes knocking this year. I'm trying to preserve the factory mats so I can throw them back in when it's time to sell the car. This will give the impression your clean and take care of your car when it's time to sell. The buyers will see your super clean factory mats in pristine condition, which will contribute to selling the car easier.

The instructions on the mats say to cut the back end off where there are two mounting holes, but I decided to leave them intact. The holes work great for hanging the mats out to dry on hooks. These mats are great, because they don't have a strong stinky rubber smell to them. Nobody I know wants to smell the nauseating factory rubber smell on the interior anyways.

I placed the mats in the back of the car and made sure the rear touches flush to the the back seats. Then I got a black sharpie pen and drew on the rubber mats so that they would go around the 2 plastic seat bolt covers at the base of the driver and passenger seats. Alternatively, you could lay these mats down in your car and then lay the factory mats on top and trace the outline that way. Then I grabbed super sharp house scissors and cut out the outline. The rubber is real pliable and easy to cut with the sharp scissors. I would use scissors, instead of a sharp razor, because it allows you more control over cutting the outline. DO NOT cut the rubber outline until you triple check that your outline will clear around the 2 plastic covers. Remember that you can cut away the rubber easily, but cannot put it back once you start cutting. So make sure the design you draw is as accurate and flush around the plastic pieces or else it will look bad when you cut away too much rubber. Afterwards, I got a cotton ball and soaked it in 70% isopropyl alcohol and wiped up the stray black sharpie marks on the rubber mats and they cleaned up nicely.

These mats work fine if your willing to do some craft work to get a custom fit. Plus they look better than the cheapy specials you see at the department stores.

I got OEM size, look, and feel. So I gave good stars.
So, I won't ding them too hard due to my expectations.. minus one star.
Good quality and the wife likes them.
Took a star away for misleading "generic" picture AND supposed to be 'custom' fit.
When trimmed down to size, it is a pretty close match for the small OEM carpet mats.
But, as a back seat floor mat, I was hoping for one that extended all the way across and covered more area.
