I saw the picture of these chains adn thought this would be a great deal. The chains I receieved did not have the v bar on each link for greater traction. The chain is cheap and I know will break soon and I have only used it a couple months on my lawn tractor for snow removal. Keep looking online and you can get a much better deal.

This is the best set of chains I have ever had. Easy to put on and get tight with a good ride also. The chains have not came off sense I installed them wish I could say the same for the John Deere chains.
I'm thinking about getting a set for it too.

These tire chains are depicted with the V-bars on the cross links. I ordered them because I have hilly terrain and wanted the extra traction. The first order did not have the V-bars. I returned the item and asked for the correct replacement with the V-bars. Amazon sent me chains without the V-bars for the second time. I am returning them and asking for a refund -- period. It is very frustrating to continue to receive the wrong product. If they don't have V-bars, they need to change the picture. The return process was efficient, thankfully. It took quite a bit of time to go back and forth and I still have no tire chains.

i don't agree w/the review above. It is not a good idea to deflate your tires... DON'T EVER DO IT!!!! If it doesn't fit it is not meant to be for your tires! Deflating and then filling the tires may cause YOU your life, so don't do it!
Sorry I am not reviewing the product (I don't have it) just a word of advise to those who read the previous rating with suggestions.

These are really good chains but require a bit of patience and some time to install though. Deflate your tires at least partially and the chains will go on much easier. Then re-inflate them after you get the chains on. When re-inflating, make sure you add enough air to ensure that the chains won't slip.

I bought these chains to help me mow a very steep yard. Without the chains, mowing was treacherous if the grass was the least bit damp. With the chains, I can mow even the steepest parts of my yard which exceed a 45 degree angle in some areas.

I recommend locking the chains onto your tires with a bit of nylon cord, some stiff wire or part of a coat hanger.
