Great 80's music done in Roots Rock style! When I first heard this in a bar in Venice (CA). I nearly flipped out! I ordered it the next day!

Sometime around 1981 (things are a little fuzzy from those years) I was hanging out in the Mudd Club. One night I heard the DJ play a reggae version of "Dont Stop Till You Get Enough". I was a big fan of "Off The Wall" and I thought this version was perfect. I didn't find out who did the song though, and spent the next couple of decades trying to track it down. Thanks to the magic of the internet and Amazon I found it on this outstanding compilation. It's loaded with some of the great reggae disco classics that were filling the club floors in the 1980s. Every track is excellent. Maybe I could have done without the Xanadu/Sweet Lady version of "Rappers Delight" - it doesnt add a lot to the original. The whole album makes me want to get out my Tenax hair gel and head out to the club.

this album is very interesting and fun. songs are familiar yet sound totally different. love it. everyone i play it for loves it.
