This review is from: Hvost i Aukcion. Zhilec Vershin / Highlander (Audio CD)
This is another brilliant collaboration between St. Petersbug's Auktyon and Alexei Khvostenko ("Khvost"), the late great darling of the Russian avant guard scene in Paris (the first one being "Chajnik Vina (Teakettle of Wine)"), based on the poetry of Velimir Khlebnikov, the foremost poet of the early 20th century Russian Futurism. Mostly jazz-based music, played with the intensity typical of Auktyon, combined with lyrics that emphasize tonal and rhythmic qualities of Russian language, sang (chanted) by Khvost's magnificent raspy non-voice. Candied ginger!

This is like nothing else, totally in a class of its own. Get it, if you can!
