A must have trim tool,

I've owned one of these for about 20 years. I believe that no other trim pry bar of the same strength is thinner. Its so sharp you can use it to do things like cut the caulked/painted joint between trim and adjoining surfaces, but of course a utility knife is better for this job. With its very thin FLAT STRAIGHT blade-like shaft it can easily slide deeply under trim. The curved end is a good scraper and provides leverage when needed. Its metal seems to have the same qualities as car leaf springs....very strong, will bend without breaking, then spring back to original. I've used and abused it. Still going strong. Highly recommended. I've misplaced mine so buying another.

I have used one of these for years, we used to call it a "sash bar" because it was the best tool for removing window trim. My sash bar has been misplaced a few times and I was determined to get another one. This is the only place I have been able to find it.

A FRIEND OF MINE,WHO IS A CARPENTER,HAD MISS PLACED THIS TOOL AT MY HOME,I FOUND THE TOOL AND ASKED WHY WAS IT SO SPECIAL. HE SAID "ITS GREAT FOR MOLDING WORK OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO USE IT FOR AND I CAN'T FIND THEM AT THE HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES ANY MORE.THEY ARE BEING REPLACED BY TOOLS OF MUCH LOWER QUAILTY". WHEN I FOUND THE TOOL I TESTED IT AGAINST SOME THAT I ALREADY HAD AND HE WAS RIGHT. THE TOOLS I HAD BENT ON SOME VERY LOW PRESSURE INCIDENTS. I THEN TESTED THE HYDE TOOL AND IT SHOWED NO SIGN OF FAILING AT ANY POINT I USED IT AT. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS TOOL FOR COMMERCIAL AND HOME USE. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT STILL MADE IN THE USA.

This thing is great! It's flat enough to get behind trim and not mar it up. I've used mine for about 5 years now, and have not had any issues with it deforming or breaking. Hats off to the designer!

This is one of the best pry bars for trim I have ever used. They sell a 2 pack (two sizes) as well that I usually purchase. I have more of these stolen by employees than I care to mention. Stainless steel thin and durable, an absolute must have for a trim carpenter or any trade for that matter.

I'll admit, looking at this tool first hand it may just look like another pry bar, but this is anything but a "regular" pry bar. Not only is this made in USA, but the metal is very strong and the coating that was used is not only a massive step above the rest, it also has a nice feel to it as well. I've actually the blade end of the pry bar to scrape away some paint on some fairly rough wood and not only has the paint come off, the pry bar still looks brand new. No cracks, paint missing/chipped, scratches and the blade itself still feels as sharp as when I received it. I also like how dense, yet how easy to handle this pry bar is. Even if a hammer is used, it feels like it could easily withstand the shock (within reason of course) and could be used time and time again. I look forward to removing trim with this tool as well. Like the blade end of this pry bar, the "claw" part is very durable and doesn't look like it would snap in half in the middle of removing a stubborn piece of trim or even something slightly heavier. I also like the fact that nails can be removed very easily as well with this pry bar as well. All in all, I highly recommend this product. I've purchased several items from Hyde over the years and this easily is one of the best products they have made in some time.

I bought this based on previous good reviews. All were true. This was able to pry apart cabinet, floor and wall trim without damaging it. It was also able to take several metal hammer blow to pry off nails and pull up some engineered flooring without wearing down. I'm very glad I made the purchase and I view it is a necessary tool if trying to remove trim and save for a later use.
