I have to say that this circulation pump is amazing. Packs a lot of punch for something the size of an egg, and it's small size is what makes it so great. With the magnet base to attach it you can basically mount this thing anywhere in the aquarium. I originally bought it to add to my AquaClear Powerhead 400 for some extra flow but I was so happy with the performance, size, and neat clean look inside the tank that I have decided to retire my old bulky powerhead and replace it by ordering another Koralia Nano 425. I have a 29 gallon BioCube and I believe 2 of them will give the perfect amount of flow for my corals. Very happy with this product and I highly reccomend it.

This works very well for my 37 Gallon. It really is quite and creates just enough circulation in my aquarium to keep the water moving nicely. I wouldn't say it does an excellent job eliminating all the "dead spots" in the tank but the fish seem much happier and my feather duster looks so nice flowing in the current.
The size is perfect for small aquariums and hides nicely next to my filter so it really isn't obtrusive.
I am considering getting a second one just to increase the flow and rid the tank of all dead spots.. I haven't decided yet but I love the product and this was the best price I found it for :)

I have this in my 75 gallon planted tank. I had a more powerful one but it uprooted all my plants the second I turned it on so I got the 425 GPH version. I put it in the top corner and use it about an hour a day to circulate the water and give the fish something to swim in to. It is a perfect flow for the plants and does not disturb them. There is a noticeable current about halfway through the tank (2 feet) and then it gets very weak but I can still see movement around the opposite side of the tank. For my purposes, this is perfect and I recommend this for a planted tank of any size.

i got this for my 90 gallon fresh water which was all i needed. for fresh water you don't need to move water that much and it circulates my entire tank, some spots fast and others slowly but it does the job. Not sure i would get this for a salt water tank. I like the size and the fact its hard to see in the tank. The only problem is the cord should be longer, i could not install it where i wanted since the cord would not reach. Other then that...it works fine and it arrived 3 days earlier then promised.

I've owned by Koralia 425 for about three months now and it has just recently started running in reverse. I Googled the issue and read on multiple forums that this is a common problem.

I found the this information on Hydor's website at the following address:
[...]

There are several possible causes of reversal in the Koralia Evolution.

The bushing that sits inside the black wing of the impeller may have slipped down. If this has occured, simply push the bushing back into place. You can also contact Hydor USA Customer Service and request an upgraded bushing that snaps into place, preventing slippage.

The front cover maybe damaged. If your cover is damaged, you can contact Hydor USA Customer Service and request a new cover.

The rubber bumper on the inside of the front cover maybe missing or damaged. Hydor USA Customer Service can supply you with replacement parts.

I have used other power heads in the past which were generally bulky, loud on start-up, and hard to keep attached. The Hydor brand is none of those. I love the magnetic lock, the thing is extremely small and compact, and it came with 0 assembly required. One unmentioned attribute that is very important for saltwater fish is the temperature, the Hydor water pump I bought and am currently using generates almost no heat. It also never makes a sound, even when starting up.

I highly recommend it to any fish lover.

Some reviews made me put in doubt buying this product. I've never had any problems with it since the day I bought and set them up.

I bought two of them for my column tank. They have strong enough flow for my marine reef tank. If you don't move them frequently, then they would more likely to last. The suctions are magnetized and they are powerful! Sometimes it's even harder to take them off (which is good, coz you don't want your power-heads falling off)

I don't know, for me, I think is this a great product with an affordable price. I have a 45 g column tank.

Good product. I would recommed to others. I should have purchased the next larger size or another one to mount on the other side if the tank. This size is probably ideal for a 20 to 40 gallon tank. However, it's doing its job in my 55.
