4.0 out of 5 stars Book Content and Errors, May 1, 2000
This review is from: Hydraulic Design Handbook (Hardcover)
This is an excellent reference for the practising engineer. However, some serious revision need to be done by the authors to correct the numerous spelling errors which make reading some parts of the book difficult.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great reference text, April 20, 2008

This review is from: Hydraulic Design Handbook (Hardcover)
This text book covers a wide range of hydraulics applications. As a practicing engineer, I have always reasearched different text books and collected those that will provide me with a reference text I Can make use of throughout my professional career. This book covers many topics in sufficient detail that often no further references are required. A good example is the section on Hydraulic Dissipation Structures that includes illustrations from 'Small Dam Design' by USBR that summarise the various types of structures and the equations required to designate their dimensions. I would happily recommend this to civil engineering colleagues in this area of engineering.

2.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book but LOADED with errors., January 8, 2010

This review is from: Hydraulic Design Handbook (Hardcover)
An excellent book but LOADED with errors. I bought this handbook for the civil engineering licensure exam, but after some serious review, I don't think I'll use it. I found numerous equations and conversions that were obviously wrong. I like the book and appreciate the vast amount of material covered by it, but would not recommend it until subsequent revisions corrected the many mistakes.
