I thought this thermometer would be bullet proof; it comes in a solid metal container which can be dangled in your pool or spa, no batteries, floats or moving parts so what could go wrong. Worked great for three days but when I went to check the temperature this evening I found the thermometer "mercury" tube which is glued to the temperature scale rattling around in the container. Evidently the glue was dissolved by the water.....duh, shouldn't the glue be waterproof? Another piece of junk from China ...... order at your own risk.

This thermometer does the trick. The best feature is that it reads to 120 degrees F and it doesn't float. I just sink it down in my hot tub to a point that it's not in the way and read it to adjust the temp. Simple and functional... just what I like.

An absolutely terrible product. The temperature is off by 8-12 degrees, and its not consistent so you can't even use it one you figure out the offset. After 2 weeks the coating or paint or whatever started bubbling, I guess because water got inside it. This might be ok if it wasn't designed for water, but its a POOL THERMOMETER.

COMPLETE + TOTAL SCAM
Horrendous product, total scam. The silver colored coating bubbled up and flaked off the outside, exposing a cheap black metal, after being in my pool for only 2 months. Read more

heavy thermometor
This is serving as an accurate pool thermometer. The downside is that it is very heavy and tends to sink without a sturdy float. Moister collecting makes it hard to read.

Don't Waste Your Money
On the pro side, it doesn't float. Unfortunately, within a few weeks the housing on this thermometer was totally corroded. Read more

Accurate? not really. Readable? sorta,,,
3-4 degrees off, which while not much, IS significant in a hot tub.
