This review is from: Hydrodynamics of Pumps (Oxford Science Publications) (Hardcover)
I have found this book confirms and elaborates on topics in fluid dynamics that I had learned in the fluid systems business, but never found clearly elucidated. So many books emphasize the mathematical modeling of fluid systems/components, while this book really delves into the concepts that would leave engineers better prepared to understand the problems they face in real applications. In chapter 9 you'll find references to HYTRAN and HSFR. I have personally converted HYTRAN to run on the PC, was hired by Amies, and worked for both Levek and Greene. I have since worked on fuel, hydraulic and ink jet simulation projects. This book has more than just pump knowledge to offer. It will be found a valuable resource by anyone responsible for fluid systems analysis, synthesis and design.
