This book cites frequent research statistics for the use of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) going back over a hundred years. The efficacy of H2O2 to fight bacterial infections is well documented. The author also explains how the human body requires more oxygen than is now available in our atmosphere.

The author also gave many case examples of how H2O2 was used to help patients with a variety of illnesses.

This reader suffered from acid reflux for years, and tried everything from OTC antiacids to the latest and most expensive prescription antiacids, none of which helped much.

After reading elsewhere that acid reflux was believed to be caused by bacteria, I drew my own conclusions, and started taking 10 drops of H2O2 three times a day in a glass of water. After three weeks I realized I wasn't bothered by the acid reflux anymore. That was four years ago and I thank Dr. Douglas for writing this book.

All of the text suggested benefits of using H2O2 must be underlined after the following event. While working in a welding shop I became momentarile distracted, and without thinking placed my hand directly on a white-hot weldment. The heat was so intense that only the stench of burning flesh was recognized. The burn was so bad that for a few seconds no pain was recognized, until the whole side of my body responded and arm movement became almost impossible. The only thing I could think of doing was to immerse my burned fingers in a container of ph balanced 50,000 ppm H2O2 which I had purchased in S.L.C. and was planning on using for I.C.E. fuel. The pain almost instantly vanished with immersion in the solution but the black burned flesh was very upsetting. With great urgency for completion of the welding project I put on a new cotton lined leather glove, cinched the drawstring up a little and poured the glove full of liquid and pulled the drawstring tight. I added more liquid during the remainder of the day as I finished the work using my hand normally. Although the wound was tender to bumps or contact, the debilitating pain was absent. Proper bandaging allowed the pain to return so I kept the entire bandage saturated for four more days as the tenderness lessened each day whereupon inspection showed the entire area was covered with fresh new skin which had even covered the burn exposed tendons. After three weeks it is impossible to define the burned area. There is NO scar tissue in evidence. I have worked my entire life in mechanics, engineering and construction with the usual wounds and abrasions and this is the most remarkable thing that has ever happened to me.

First thing every morning, I put 6 drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide in 16 oz. of water. Now my blood pressure is 104/78 and my colesterol levels are normal (before it was 135/88 and my colesterol was borderline high (the Dr. prescribed me medicine to lower my colesterol). Every morning after I floss, I brush my teeth by dipping my toothbrush in water treated w/ hydrogen peroxide. My gingivitis has actually reversed itself! I won't be needing any gum surgery!

Although I am pleased that the author has taken the trouble to write this book to publicize the benefits of hydrogen peroxide, this book is not well written or edited. First of all, the blurb on the back cover (of my copy at least) makes no grammatical sense whatsoever and could have done with some proofreading. The author does not want to commit himself on whether H2O2 can be taken orally, but does recommend it as a mouthwash instead of using toothpaste. But he doesn't discuss the factor of metal teeth fillings and that H2O2 might corrode these and cause a person to swallow a heavy dose of heavy metal pollutants in the process. As far as taking it orally is concerned, other researchers and alternative healers recommend starting a strong anti-oxidant cocktail a couple of days before one starts oral ingestion of this miracle substance, in the form of supplements or green tea. That makes perfect sense and the author ought to have addressed this subject. This book seems to have been put together without proper editing from the author's newsletter, but does contain other valuable sources of information like a worldwide list of physicians using H2O2 therapy, therapeutic uses of peroxide, metabolic and physiological effects of peroxide healing, an extensive bibliography and an index. I recommend that Dr. Campbell Douglas issues a second edition in which the above flaws are eliminated and that is properly edited and proofread. Until such time, this book is still useful.

I am a retired veterinarian that caught Bangs Disease Or Undulant Fever while doing a C-section on a cow in Oklahoma during my internship in 1973. Fifteen years later I developed a bone abscess in my right humerus below a site where that bone was broken as a child. The bone had a hole in it about the size of a dime and became very weak when attempting any kind of manual work.

Diagnosis was very elusive and required much travel. Finally a Regional Referral Center determined it was not cancer but I had to resort to the local salebarn veterinarian for a card test to make the diagnosis. Specialty Labs in California confirmed the diagnosis. They said I had the highest antibody levers ever tested on a human.

Information in Dr. Douglas's Book allowed me to cure the infection and the radiologist said that the case should be written up in the medical literature but I would have to do it if it ever got done.

Thank you, Dr. Douglas, for your book that will help so many people if they search long enough to find it.

My son was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 1V last year July 2003. He was operated on, radiated and given 6 months to live. He was 19 years old at the time. He was placed on chemotherapy in December, as he had multipul tumours at this stage, on his brain. I knew that the radiation and chemo was very bad for him and I had to find something that would boost his body. I had no knowledge of alternative medication, but on scouring around on the internet and listening to a friend who suffers from severe thrush and colon problems. I was told to use hydrogen peroxide for my son. To start with a few drops and slowly increase the dosage. My son now drinks 20 drops 5 times a day and he had a ct scan a while back and there are no tumours, no swelling, and no water. I praise God and thank the information on H202.

I am a naturopath and firmly believe that we are taken for a very big ride by the drug companies. I have been looking for a good book on the benefits of hydrogen peroxide but until now was unable to find one.
About 16 years ago I had a mother bring her 15 year old son to me for colonis irrigations, She was sent to me a Seventh Adventist who had prescribed 35% H2O2 ( food grade). He started with 2 drops in a quarter glass of juice 3 times a day and increased the drops y one a day until he was taking 25 drops 3 times a day. I forgot to mention that his doctors had only given him 6 months to live, They tod his mother that if they gave him Kemo she would have him for 12 months- she refused. He is now 32 maried and has a daughter and another baby on the way. His mother has a permament appointment with me every week. The tumor he had on the brain completely disappeared in about 18 months. We say this because it was 18 mths before she took him back for a test.the doctor was supprised to see he was still alive and after tests told her that the tumor had completely disappeared and that there treatment was working. She informed him that they were not using there tremtment and were going to a naturopath, he never spoke to her again just stared at her until she left.
I use her quite frequently to help me with my patients with their diet. Too many of these people are told by the medical profeccion that we will kill them with our unproven theries and they believe them.
I would like one or two of these books but I am not good at ordering on the net I seem to make too many mistahes.

Recently I developed periodontal disease around my rear molars in an area where previously impacted wisdom teeth that had been removed caused damage to the molars below the gum line. This left pockets that collected food particles and eventually led to a periodontal infection that was painful at times. My dentist referred me to a periodontist who recommended packing antibiotics below my gum line. Unfortunately, the periodontist was not sure that the treatment would succeed and he thought the affected teeth would likely have to be extracted.

Before reading his book I had read some of Dr. Douglass' claims for hydrogen peroxide. I was familiar with hydrogen peroxide from the pulp and paper industry, where as a chemical engineer I have used it in bleaching pulp as an environmentally friendly alternate to chlorine bleach. Fearing that I had little to loose, I decided to try hydrogen peroxide. Thinking about how to get it below the gum line into the infected area, I decided to try a water-pic (which I later read about in Dr. Douglasses' book). I performed the treatment twice daily for the first two weeks, then nightly for three weeks, thereafter intermittently.

My dentist was amazed that I was able to cure such a bad infection.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who has tried this method, whether your results were successful or not.

Alternative medicine is risky and I urge anyone experimenting with it to do enough research to determine if what you are considering is safe and if better conventional treatments exist.

I am undergoing Hydrogen Peroxide IV therapy (1x weekly for 20 weeks). This treatment was recommended to me by a nurse practitioner who had used it with amazing results for an infection that became resistant to antibiotics. Initially, I searched the internet for information. Excellent information was available, especially in the form of testimonials from patients. This book provided additional information. It helped me understand the bio-mechanics of what is happening in my body.

Though this book is "user-friendly", I think it would have been improved by one more editing. An update, including current doctors using this treatment nationwide would be extremely helpful. What I did like about the author, was his friendly "bedside manner" and his courage to tackle the AIDS epidemic in Africa with Hydrogen Peroxide.

This treatment is seen by many nowadays as hype or voodoo, especially by the traditional medical community. Many have never heard of it. It is my understanding it was widely used in the 40's, however. Doctors are returning to it, because patients with problems like candidiasis, hepatitis, HIV, herpes, viral pneumonia, gangrene, or immunity problems are not well-served by western modern medicine. Nobody wants to be told they have an incurable disease. This treatment gives hope where none else exists. Since I have not yet completed my treatment, I am unable to comment at this time, with authority, on its efficacy.

I have read this book quite carefully, and although I am not a medically trained doctor, I do hold four college degrees and would be considered educated according to most standards. This book seems to point the way to data indicating that Hydrogen Peroxide could be of tremendous value for medical treatment and I think this area is worth pursuing. When speaking to a medical doctor friend about it, I was surprised of the man's ignorance of the research in this area. "I think there's a duck quacking there somewhere", he said to me, indicating that it all sounded so nonsensical to him that he wouldn't consider it a serious subject, at the same time admitting to me that he had never looked into any studies on the subject....and implying that he wouldn't. THE ARROGANCE OF TODAY'S DOCTORS IS JUST INCREDIBLE! Just because THEY NEVER HEARD of something, it must be "bunk"......and they are too closed minded and lazy to look into the matter, to determine if it warrants further investigation. Believe me, after reading this book, you will be convinced it is worth further investigation and study. Seek out the studies and the data. The life you save may be your own. Don't rely on DRUG COMPANIES to protect you.....NO DRUG COMPANY IS GOING TO MAKE MONEY SELLING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE which is quite affordable and simple to produce (food grade of course). They cannot patent Hydrogen Peroxide and PATENTS are HOW DRUG COMPANIES MAKE MONEY. Buy this book. Read it and give a copy of it to your doctor to read. It could form the basis for a new approach which may be of help to you. Use this book as a first step for investigating the potential benfefits of H202.
