I use this the second I hear my kids cough (obviously then when I can tell that it could turn into something more serious) and it doesn't go any further than that. I love it, it helps them instantly. It will also help, if the kids already have developed a cough, but homeopathy works best when symptomps first appear. I have tried many over-the-counter cough syrups, and none have done what this syrup accomplishes. I am a firm believer in homeopathic products. They don't treat the symptoms, but encourage the body to heal itself.

This cough syrup is a great alternative to medicated cough syrups because it is not dangerous for young children. Another benefit is that it doesn't leave you feeling drowsy or droopy, like other cough syrups can.

I used this when I had a lingering cough after a cold, and it worked almost instantly to soothe my throat and relieve my cough. We have also used it with our three-year-old daughter, and felt confident knowing it was safe for her.

The only drawbacks I see are that it doesn't last all night (but you can re-dose as needed) and the bottle goes fairly quickly, as doses are large. Something else to keep in mind is that it does not have a child-proof cap.

I'm mom to a 1 year old son and stepmom to perpetually coughing 5 and 7 year old boys. The moment any of them seem to be coming down with a cough (obviously not just anytime they randomly cough!!) I start dosing them with the Hyland's. They don't complain about it because it tastes like candy and most importantly IT WORKS!!!

Seriously, this stuff is amazing. Just try it once and you'll see.

The three-pack may seem excessive, but it's not. First of all, the doses are more frequent than with a pharmaceutical cough syrup. You WILL go through this stuff faster than you'd like, especially for the cost compared to a generic pharmaceutical type childrens' cough syrup, but in my absolutely unscientific, completely anecdotal observations is that this product works better.

In my opinion, the pharmaceutical cough syrups mask symptoms and this syrup SEEMS (remember - this is only based on my observation and experience) to be effective in getting rid of the cough entirely. With allergy-based coughing (the perpetual tickle type) it really makes that tickle go away.

I'm a fan and I buy it in bulk!

I have 2 young boys and a childcare, so coughs happen several times a year in our home. However, this is a wonderful cough syrup that gives immediate relief and normally lasts 4 hours or so before needing another dose (during nights when their coughs are especially bad). We've used 2 bottles over the past 3 years and it works. Honey has always been touted as a wonderful soother for sore throats and coughs, and that's probably its most effective ingredient. Our kids ask for this (actually, any of our natural cough syrups) when they're sick and they seem to recover completely in a few days after we give them this. On the 2 occasions when I gave our son cough syrup during his bronchitis bout (almost 4 years ago), it never seemed to work and I felt guilty giving it to him.

Just an FYI that Hyland's Cold & Cough Syrup is MUCH MUCH better than this one by Hyland's, Chestal is a close second. We have tried them both (plus Chestal and Similisan) and the nights I give our boys the Cold & Cough one, they sleep through the night without coughing. When I give them this regular Hyland's Cough Syrup with Honey, they go about 3-4 hours without coughing. That's still better than regular toxic cough syrup, but just thought I'd point out the slight difference. Plus, you get the cold relief on top of the cough syrup, without ANY side effects except healthy kids! Even my childcare families allow me to give it to their children when they have coughs; their children recover quickly, too.

So, this is a good buy, better than toxic cough syrup, but it's definitely not the best natural one out there. Hyland's is great for their teething tablets, gel, and sleeping pills, too.

I ran out of my usual cough syrup during my last cold and used this which I had bought for my granddaughter. It cured me instantly!! The cough never came back!! I tried it again on several occasions and the same thing happened. Instant cure! Whatever is in this stuff sure beats the heck out of the phamaceuticals out there. It is the best kept secret there is!

I recommend this cough syrup to literally every single parent i hear that has a kid coughing - even perfect strangers! I started using it when my daughter caught RSV at 11 months. She had the worst cough i had ever heard, and I spent most nights up with her rocking her so she could sleep sitting up. When I got my order in the mail, I literally opened it, and went to get the measuring spoon. Within 15 minutes of giving it to her - the coughing had COMPLETELY STOPPED! I kid you not. It is hands down the best cough remedy for young children. It tastes great (I tried it on myself once), and feels like it's melting the gunk out of your throat. I ALWAYS have a bottle of this in my home.
