5.0 out of 5 stars seen it work
The philosophy of "how to use your work to build your people" is the captivating thought of this book. This book will show you not only ways of increasing attendance, but also how to effectively organize your ministry. A must for anyone who wants to build an effective ministry to reach people.

1.0 out of 5 stars How Not To Build a Church!
Jack Hyles' manual is nothing more than a manual of how to build a church his way. As a former student at his college, we students were constantly taught out of this manual, as if it were the Bible. The concepts that Hyles puts forth in this book and from his pulpit should make any normal person chringe. I would not recommend this book to anyone let alone a minister.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical stuff for organizing a church., April 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Hyles Church Manual (Paperback)
This book is an outstanding guide to organizing a church. It has been used all over the world in institutes and colleges. The late, great, R.G.Lee said of the work: "If I had had this guide early in my ministry, I could have done so much more for the Lord." The book was written by the pastor of America's largest church, First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana.

5.0 out of 5 stars "THE" book on how to run a church, September 1, 2001
This review is from: Hyles Church Manual (Paperback)
New and seasoned pastors/Christian workers alike can benefit from this wonderful book. Advice and methods from Dr. Jack Hyles have helped thousands around the world build exciting, soul-winning churches!

These methods have stood the test of time. Brother Hyles decided to design his church as close as possible to the New Testament church in Acts. This book outlines how you can do this too.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best of the Best!!!!!!!, October 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Hyles Church Manual (Paperback)
This is it folks, you'll never find anything more helpful for church building (other than the Bible of course.) Practical and full of great ideas to do the work of God first class. And if you don't agree, criticize by building bigger.

I grew up in this church and saw the carnage all around me from this guy's "ministry". RUN LIKE THE WIND away from this stuff.

1.0 out of 5 stars How To Turn Church Into A Business, No Sweat, March 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Hyles Church Manual (Paperback)
You'll love this book, if you think of church as a way to manipulate others' need for Christ into a business opportunity for yourself! There is little to recommend this book to a minister concerned with building people; much to recommend it for the man (or woman) who entered the ministry rather than some other, more physically difficult, way to earn a living. The potential buyer should carefully check into Hyles' scandal-ridden mininstry before purchasing this book.
