Even thourgh this group quit perfoming and recording a while back their music is timeless, their renditions of hymns unique, and their voices heavenly!

The hymns are beautifully done in their wonderful harmony. But the treasure of this album is the song, He Has Formed Me. It is a short profound little song. My husband, who recently went to be with the Lord told me years ago that he wanted it played or sung at his funeral. We did, and everyone wanted to know what album it was on and where to get it.

All I can say is that the music is powerful, and the singing is even moreso. Every cell in the bodies of these singers is filled with the Spirit of the Lord. You hear it, you feel it and when you sing along you are filled and transformed too!

I love this group, and own several CDs by them. They have exceptional harmony and even the solo works by Annie Herring are among my favorite CDs. One or two early CDs would occasionally have a little bit too much rock for my taste --but that was the exception--for instance Mansion Builder I love, but the Hymns I and II are without exception glorious! I had the tapes which I wore out like another reviewer, and was thrilled when they came out in CD. I have played those two CDs in my car for months without tiring of them! And then bring them back for repeat plays. I know every song by heart. I cannot praise this music enough, and you will not be disappointed if you get it. The old hymns have always had the most beautiful way to praise God--which I think the modern music usually lacks. This CD is the best of both worlds--the beautiful hymns with the fresh clear harmonious sound of the 2nd Chapter of Acts.

I had to buy the CD because the casette tape I've owned since 1994 won't play anymore and I don't have any tape players left. This is by far one of the most uplifting set of CD's (tapes) I've ever owned. The music is performed with taste and not over done as some groups tend to do. If I'm having a bad day, these CD's change that instantly. If I'm having a good day, well, you'll have to experience that for yourself. Just imagine fluffy clouds and angels.

To me the 2nd Chapter of Acts is one of the most Spirit led groups I have ever heard. Their harmony is nothing short of God-send and I have yet to find a group that can bring tears to my eyes with the heart-felt love of God that pours from their voices to the listener. If you want to be filled to the brim with the Spirit of the Lord you will love this music. What a gift God has given to them. Highly recommended.

I L-LOVE this album! I have had it for many years, and come back to it again and again to get my "hymn fix". I play it loud in my car and sing at the top of my voice, praising the Lord! This album is a classic. If you don't have it, get it!

The CD arrived in about a week and I love listening to the music since it came in!

Hello. I bought this album because I like way they sang the hymns. They sang them gratitude to God. I like hymns to sound more uplifting and modern and easy to hear the words to the hymns.
