My mother-in-law asked me to select some old hymns for her on CD. I couldn't do the traditional old style stuff but wanted to respect her wishes. She LOVES this music. So do I. I've since ordered one for my mother and me. What a nice mix between totally contemporary worship and old school hymns. We have a lot to learn from old hymns but in this mix it's easy to get swept away and swept into worship. Perfect for someone like me who grew up in a traditional church and now attends a contemporary worship experience.

The greatest hymns sung by today's popular Christian artists, these CD's are great for singing along in the car and praising His Name. They are the two most played CD's in my collection.

Got this as a Christmas present for wife. She really enjoys it and so do I. Music is truly relaxing to us and brings back memories of times we spent in not only our church but ones that we have visited.

I have other music of hymns I listen to. I read some of the other reviews about the upbeat tempo of this CD. These are some of my favorites and my family really enjoy these CDs. We have used these at a nursing home ministry; the older people got "happy feet" when we started up the music.

this cd is awesome - some of the old greats that I miss in "modern" church. It is really good to do my morning worship and praise. I highly recommend it! 2 cd's!!!

We listen to these hymns over & over. It's wonderful to listen to classic hymns with our young children and have them sing along! They are really well done!

Contemporary artists give their renditions of traditional hymns, and it's terrific. There is also a piano & voice book that goes along with it, from which I've performed four of the songs in public, and have gotten excellent responses. The lady that accompanies me always comments on how excellent the arrangements are. I wish they had done more than the two albums, but this one is the best. You can't beat Amazing Grace, I Surrender All, Because He Lives, Take My Life And Let It Be, etc. - all on disc 2. Each artist gives their selection its own unique twist, which I like. The only disappointment is Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, by Michael W. Smith - it's just too short. But great double album otherwise, and a steal at this price. Waitsel

I used to think that hymns were only slow dirges. Most hymn compilations are like 75% slow songs.

This compilation is a great mix where most of the songs are sung in a style that is really PRAISING God. Not to say that slow hymns are bad, but hey most of them were written to be triumphant and exciting.

Great CD.

Very relaxing and inspiring. I use at the end of the day to drift off to sleep. The second CD has more of the commonly recognized hymns.

I'm very happy with my new CD. The delivey was fast and my CD arrived ok. I recommend buying in Amazom.com.
