If you love Jim Brickman's arrangement and playing style and want a CD with traditional Christmas hymns and carols, you will almost certainly love this CD.

Most of the tracks are easily recognizable classic hymns or carols. One of these "Holy, Holy, Holy" is not usually considered a Christmas hymn but it is a nice arrangement. I didn't recognize "Angels Blessing" but there was no composition information in the liner notes so it must be a tune with which I am unfamiliar. There is a more contemporary song, "Christmas Is...." that will be familiar if you listen to a contemporary Christian music radio station. It is the only one that has a vocal part (sung by Mark Masri not Brickman).

The arrangements are pretty much in the classic Jim Brickman style so there are no surprises there. Brickman's earlier Christmas album The Gift is on my "frequent play" list from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. This CD is a little too similar to that one (and less familiar) for it to become a favorite yet. But it is very pleasant and relaxing music for Christmas and would be a good gift idea for someone who wants non-intrusive Christmas carol music to keep playing in the house during the holidays.

I like the soft and mellow sounds of this CD. If you have a fire and are just sitting around enjoying the season, put this on and enjoy the evening.

I am very happy with this purchase! This type of Christmas music is not usually what I listen to...
but I decided to try it for something different and I'm glad I did. Very relaxing. I would buy another Jim Brickman CD.

I really enjoyed listing to Jim Brickman and these selected Carols & Hymns. I was transported in time to my childhood years when I would sit by the Christmas tree and listen to carols at night. A special treat.

This is one of the most beautiful Christmas CDs I own. It's relaxing and a different arrangement of known songs.

I purchaded this CD becasue I was able to listen to it via online capablities. I absolutely love it! I love Yannie also, so if you are a fan of his, you'll LOVE this albumn. I am reordering this albumn for my brother...knowing he'll love it as much as I do. I am in my 60's if taht helps you any to make a purchase from this talented young artist.

AS always, Jim Brickman delivers a spectacular performance with his own special stamp on familiar songs. A delight!

This was one of my favorite Christmas cds this year. It is beautiful to listen to the many instrumental selections as well as the songs with vocals. A very relaxing yet spiritual album.

My wife likes anything Jim brickman does and this was just over the top. She plays it at work and in her car. As long as it christmas time this will be the most played cd in her collection. Great purchase.

Let's face it. The limited number of favorite Christmas songs (which are the nicest songs) means that endless variations exist by various artists. The trick is to make the arrangement interesting without having it loose all resemblance to the "standard." Jim Brickman does a very nice job of creating music that is excellent for listening to by the fire or for playing in the background of a Christmas gathering.
