I keep the book on a music stand in my office and when my students come in they are immediately drawn to it. This book is an absolutely stunning work of art. Each hymn is preceded by a story that makes you appreciate and love each hymn even more. The photographs chosen for each hymn are breath taking. If you've ever sung hymns without paying any attention to the words or their meaning I think you would find this book inspiring. It brings music to life in a way I have never seen.

This book is an excellent resource. The pictures are beautiful. The music includes old favoites as well as lesser know hymns and spiritual songs. The best part for me was to read the stories behind the authors and/or composers of the musical selections.
