I LOVE THIS SET, IT BRINGS TO MIND THE LATE QUEEN OF GOSPEL MUSIC, MAHALIA JACKSON, WHO WAS A MENTOR TO THE GREAT SHIRLEY CAESAR...GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU IS MY FAVORITE...AND I ALSO LIKE THE SELECTION WRITTEN BY SULLIVAN PUGH OF THE LEGENDARY CONSOLERS.......

Pastor Caesar, the latest album is truly an Inspiratrion to me. I have listend to you over the years and I must say that this album is by far the best. The songs I remember when I was a child and my grand mother used to sing them in her room. I must say that the songs are song that you learn over the years and they keep you. "Still Away" is my favorite. We thank God for you and Bishop Williams as you have been chossen vessels to Pastor our church. We are elated to be moving into our new church and we know that god is gonna bless us and you and the whole entire church family. God Bless......

WOW WHAT A BLESSING FROM THIS ALBUM . I PICKED IT UP YESTERDAY . SHIRLEY CAESAR TOOK ME BACK TO THOSE HYMNS I GREW UP LISTENING TO . I AM A 18 YR OLD MALE . I AM PROBABLY ONE OF SHIRLEY'S BIGGEST FAN . SHE REALLY TOUCHED A CORE IN MY SPIRIT W/ HER ELECTRIC VOICE . I PRAY THAT GOD WILL CONT. 2 USE HER AND MINISTER TO HER . GOD BLESS HER. I CAN'T WAIT FOR (DUETS) HER ALBUM SLATED 4 2002 . THAT WILL FEATURE THE DIVA OF R&B PATTI LABELLE . THESE ARE MY 2 FAV. SINGERS SO THIS WILL BE A TREAT . SHIRLEY CAESAR YOU ARE TRULY UNDER THE BLOOD .

Yes,Yes,Yes! Blessed Assurance-is my favorite selection, but Shirley can blow on 'Power in the Blood' "Holy,Holy,Holy" 'God will take care of you' and 'Steal Away'. This cd will take you back-Thank you Shirley for taking me back.

THIS IS A CD THAT ME AND MY GRANDMOTHER COULD ENJOY TOGETHER..PASTOR SHIRLEY CAESAR TAKES YESTERDAYS SONGS TWISTED WITH TODAYS MUSIC AND HER AWESOME ANNOINTING TO CREATE THIS MUST HAVE CD PROMISE YOU'LL LOVE IT....

I ordered this CD the last week in July and was sent the correct CD cover but the wrong CD. I didn't think to keep a copy of the gentleman address, but I sent back the CD and asked him if he would send the correct CD. It is almost the end of August and he hasn't sent the correct CD. This looks bad on Amazon. I will not order from Amazon ever again.

Pastor Shirley is always great and some tracks really stand out, such as "Blessed Assurance" and "One More Battle", but I kept getting the feeling the producer/s were trying to be a bit too fancy with their arrangements on this album. Sometimes more is less. I was also looking for more 'classic hymms' by this fantastic artist and felt that the song choices could have been better.

SHIRLEY CAESAR SERVES IT UP ON THIS ALBUM. SHE MAKES THESE OLD STANDARD OF THE CHURCH SOUND LIKE THEY FELL FRESH FROM HEAVENS PRESS. THE ALBUM STARTS OFF W/ SHIRLEY AND A B3 ORGAN AS SHE SINGS STEAL AWAYS. SHIRLEY CAESAR SWELLS AND RIFS HER NOTES LIKE ONLY SHE CAN. SHE THEN IS JOINED BY MICHELLE WILLIAMS (DESTINY CHILD) TO A CONTEMPORARY VERSION OF STEAL AWAY. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE. ALL THESE RENDITIONS OF THESE SONGS ARE CLASSIC, BUT SHIRLEY CAESAR RENDITION OF "BLESSED ASSURANCE" IS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE CD. THIS CD IS A + 4 ALL THOSE WHO LOVE HYMN AND SHIRLEY CAESAR. ALSO CANDI STATON'S HERE'S A BLESSING IS A WONDERFUL ANOINTED BUY.

The songs previewed on the album "Hymns" are traditional gospel songs and it really can be felt throughout your soul.....

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ALBUM THANKS TO PASTOR SHIRLEY FOR BRINGING US BACK TO WHAT IT USE TO BE LIKE IN THE CHURCH. I HEARD THESE SONGS WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL ALSO,WITH MY GRANDMOTHER. THE 2 I LIKE BEST IS STEAL AWAY WITH MICHELLE WILLIAMS AND COME YE DISCONSOLATE SEEING HOW SHE FIT IN WITH THE YOUNG PEOPLE SINGING IS BEAUTIFUL I LISTEN TO PASTOR SC ALL THE TIME MORNING,NOON & NIGHT. SEEING HOW THE LORD IS BLESSING HER WITH HER MUSIC MINISTRY AND REACHING THE YOUNG PEOPLE IS A BLESSING. I PRAY THE LORD WILL CONTINUE TO BLESS HER AND BISHOP WILLIAMS IN THEIR NEW CHURCH HOME. PASTOR SHIRLEY SINGS FROM THE HEART AND PUT ALL HER ENERGY AND GOD GIVEN TALENT INTO WHAT SHE DOES WHEN SHE PERFORM. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER SINGING HYMNS.
