Are you thinking about playing your harp for others to enjoy? If so then the pieces in this book will be just perfect for many of those special occasions. I have used the arrangements included in the book as processional and recessional pieces for every wedding ceremony where I have played. The hymns are perfect for church services and I have played the traditional Israeli pieces at Chanukah parties. Hymns and Wedding Music is a must in your harp book collection.

I've had this music book for about a year now and use it almost constantly for church performances. The hymns that she has selected are lovely, recognizable and traditional. She has two options for each one - an easy arrangement and a harder arrangement. She has fingering listed, so all you have to do is add your own placement markings. Her advanced arrangements are not so complicated that you can't find the melody anymore, but her simpler arrangements can easily be expanded on to make them more involved. it is spiral bound and arranged alphabetically, so it is very easy to use. Obviously a book written by a harpist and for a harpist, and well worth the money!

LOVE the Sylvia Woods books!!! The arrangements are easily adaptable and conquerable by the beginner up to the more experienced alike!!! Plan to get more books by Sylvia as I continue to expand my harp library : )
