I'm not going to lie, I did feel pain, but it really wasn't painful until I got to about 8cm.
I so strongly recommend this, especially used in concert with a doula or other labor support person trained in facilitating these techniques.
I found the instructional video content to be okay, but the video quality was very low budget.
