Delicious Blue Bag, Near Perfect!, June 14, 2010

I had originally ordered this in the Scarlet, but was disappointed in its faded red-orange color. So I sent it back and ordered the blue. Seemed like even if the blue was faded, it would still look OK, like faded jeans. Well, this awesome bag (with its long-enough cross-body strap, great size, and loads of style) arrived today, and the blue is even better than I'd hoped. It's just marginally tilted towards the turquoise - just west of cobalt blue, and a little more turquoisey than the online pics appear on my screen. A really bright, rich, not-at-all-faded deep blue-green. I love the level of hardware on this bag - not overwhelming to create a hugely heavy bag, but enough to add a little panache. There is a slip exterior back pocket (perfect for slipping a cell phone into) and two front zip pockets, one of which I've earmarked for my keys and the other for a sunscreen stick for emergencies. The interior has a lot of organization - two front slip pockets (one for mirror and lipstick, one for pen), a back wall zip pocket (for cash and cards) and a slip pocket mounted onto the front of the back wall zip pocket. Not sure what I'll use that one for, maybe the pen since I don't need it that often, or maybe the sunscreen stick? Ah, it's so fun to organize things. Anyway, I'm loving this bag. After 20 years of mad bag mania, I think this is going to last me a good long time on both style and quality. Ten stars.
