We purchased this item as my husband was developing "tennis elbow" from throwing the tennis ball for our obsessive English Shepherd. Although, this item still requires leverage in the a manner similar to a slingshot, it provides arm stability while doing so and utilizes less torque than an overhand throw.
Good distance can be achieved and it comes with a replacement bungee.
The dog actually tired before he did!

I have purchased 3 of these sling shots. The first one was for work (awesome job!) and it functions perfectly without intimidation. I used it for about a month everyday when the first band broke. I called the company, got a new band for free and replaced it. It was the least they could do to help me forget the welt I received when the band smacked me. The new band lasted a little longer but it too broke. I finally found a higher quality surgical tubing and replaced it myself. The next 2 slingshots I purchased had similar problem and once I replaced the bands all was happy. I have 2 black labs that keep both sling shots warm. We have gone through close to 200 tennis balls with the new bands and still going. The balls last about a month. I still have my original slingshot and use it everyday, despite the major band flaw this is a great toy.

I'm not sure if it's the design or the cheapness of the rubber, but after only a couple of days the rubber will begin to rip, very cheap product I was very disappointed do not waste your money
