3.0 out of 5 stars Average at best
This is not an overtly horrible series but there is really not much good to say about it. It's decidedly average. Which isn't any justification to spend your money on it. I wouldn't recommend this series. If you like sci-fi cop themes then check out Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, or Gunsmith Cats. All of which are excellent.

This review is from: Hyper Police Volume 1 (Paperback)
My girlfriend bought this for me since it was in the Clearance aisle at our local Borders. I just finished the book today and here's my review.

Hyper Police takes place in the future where humans have become an endangered species and monsters and demons are at the top of the food chain. Enter Natsuki, a catgirl who works for the Police Company as a Bounty Hunter who uses powerful magic (as well as some great sword play) to capture monsters that have broken the law. Natsuki is partnered up with a newbie named Sakura, a nine-tailed fox who has her eyes (and stomach) set upon Natsuki with the hopes that by eating her, she'll be able to help her with a problem.

This first volume contains 7 Case Reports as well as a Bonus Report (Bacially 4-Panel comic strips). I love this show, it's crammed full of catgirl action (for fans of said girl), there's plenty of laughs, lots of adult/perverted humor (mainly goes with some sexual situations), and there's even the occasional naked catgirl (don't worry, there are plenty of scantily dressed girls in here as well lol). The artwork is awesome and very well done and the story is great. Anyway, this is a great manga, a great series, I can't wait to get the second volume.
