I bought this for the sole purpose of being able to transfer video files to my Ipad2 without having to go to a computer all the time. It is advertised as being Plug n Play and that no apps or software are needed. Wrong. If you want to play any file that has been downloaded from Itunes, you have to buy M4V converter software to get rid of the write protect embedded in music and videos. Also, since files show up in photos on the Ipad, one has to make a folder for each individual file with the name of the video or audio file you want to import or what you will get is dozens of little boxes that say nothing more than M4v or Mp3. I spent days back and forth with a support technician from hypershop learning how this simple plug n play device works. There are no instructions or manual on how to use this device with Ipad.

Sanho, the supplier of this as well as the Iflash drive for the iPad and iPhone does not have a telephone number for support. Everything is done via an online chat box, an absolutely exasperating experience for me after having a problem with the iFlash drive I purchased. Furthermore, instead of rushing out a replacement for the defective unit, they wanted me to ship it back, and they would ship me a replacement upon receipt of the defective unit. I just didn't feel like they were working with me, and I finally requested a credit and purchased something from a more consumer friendly company.

This is literally the worst thing I've ever purchased for that much money. I bought it based on a review from a Mac magazine, which was obviously a sweetheart deal. It's TERRIBLE. They don't mention when you order that you need 2 apple components in order to even connect for it to even begin to work that ARE NOT INCLUDED!!!. What a monstrosity. I wanted something to keep movies on so that I could keep files/movies for transatlantic flights and flights to Asia. This is absolutely the worst purchase I've ever made. And the company has no phone number! You're forced t do it all through a terrible online technician system that is simply a failure on every level..... FAIL. I wish Amazon could let me give this ZERO stars....
