I love the song HYPERBALLAD, but I'm not too crazy about the remixes on this single. First, only the edited version of the song is available on the single, which completely cuts out the beautiful instrumental ending of the Album version. Second, many of the remixes merely place the HYPERBALLAD vocals on top of some other beat that has nothing to do with the song. I wouldn't mind this if they would only create a corresponding chord structure to the remix. The two most interesting mixes are the Robin Hood Mix and the Towa Tei Mix. These two manage to at least be creative while staying true to the musical aesthetic of the song. I would only recommend buying this single if you are a diehard Bjork fan.

Hyperballad is, in my opinion, one of Bjork's greatest compositions. This maxi-single collects six versions of the song, all of which maintain the heart and soul of the original album version, but at the same are stunningly original remixes. My personal favorite is #4. Well worth the purchase!

With an artist like Bjork, you can't slap 3-4 extra minutes of beats onto her singles......Her unique music/lyrics deserve a more diverse variation of mixes. This is one of my favorite songs and it couldn't be better....or could it? Remixers/producers have forgotten that they can mold the song into something completely different, but have gotten lazy; throw a drum beat behind any vocal and you can do it yourself.

Great song! Disturbingly cool cover. Some great remixes! A few are perhaps not as interesting as some of her remixes, but the "Robinhood Riding Through The Glenn" mix is an awesome Björk classic, and should have been included on some compilations. The others are very up-tempo-dance grooves, with something disturbing always thrown in:> and the towa-tei mix is another very interesting one.
Just check it out and get into the Björkish groove;^)

Hyperballad is my most favorite song of Bjorks. It is sweet and endearing, about the love between two people that you would do anything to protect. I play this Cd over and over again, as well as all of her other albums and singles. Hyperballad moves you through its beats and Bjorks powerful vocals. You must get this one!!!!

I have only just recently started listening to Bjork and this is my favorite piece. The album is amazing, especially the Robin Hood Riding through the Glen Mix and the Towa Tei Mix. Best single remix I have heard to date of Bjork.

Of course buy this cd. This is such a good single. It provides the listener with six choices of remixes to my all time favorite song of Bjork's, hyperballad. Whether you are a serious bjork fan or someone who just got into her music, this cd is for EVERYONE. If you are wondering if it is truly worth the shipping and handling, it is so worth more. So buy it where ever, just do it!

I had this CD Maxi-single (I think that's what we used to call them) back when it first came out. The David Morales mix has always been one of my favorites. Somewhere along the years I lost the disc, and even stranger, the audio file. Now I have them all again. Thrilled.

This song expresses so much pain and love and emotion.

I can't get enough.

The Hyper-ballad remains to be my all time favourite song. This single (I have 3 versions) contains some really good remixes. My fav would have to be the "Subtle Abuse Mix" and the "Towa Tei Choice Mix". If you can skip past the annoying sound of the "David Morales Classic Mix", with it's tinny, cheezy sounding piano, the rest of the remixes are great. Bring this one to a party and watch what happens! :)
