5.0 out of 5 stars awesome
Hypnotic is my favorite Paul Taylor CD. I have my own Paul Taylor collection from "Pleasure Seeker" to "Steppin Out". I listen to this a regular basis. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not the real Paul Taylor
I would have love to review this product. But when I received the cd all it was a case. There was not real cd of paul taylor in the box. It was some type of summary of a health paper. So what I receive was not the product I ask for. So my review is a zero.

Hypnotic is my favorite Paul Taylor CD. I have my own Paul Taylor collection from "Pleasure Seeker" to "Steppin Out". I listen to this a regular basis. Everytime I play this for a friend, they always want to know who is playing and the name of the CD. Paul is one of the great sax players of our time. My best friend from college turned me on to Paul Taylor after "On the Horn" was released. He has a unique smooth rhythum and funky beat to his songs that you can listen to for any occassion (driving down the highway, sharing with that very special someone or just wanting to relax after a tough day at the job). Paul keep on play your style of great music. But most important keep playing the same smooth style that has gotten you to this point in your career. I would love to see him perform somewhere in the North Carolina area.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Taylor's mesmirizing style has everyone hypnotized", November 19, 2001

As a member of the Rippingtons, have followed Paul Taylor's career with keen interest...very much into Russ Freeman and Keiko Matsui, whom Taylor has been involved with on various projects...one of Taylor's best tunes was "Code Blue" from his album "Undercover", if you're a Paul Taylor fan this is a must have for your collection.

Now, let's talk about the album before us...stand outs are "HYPNOTIC"..."FREE FALL"..."PALISADES", blending fusion, smooth and contemporary jazz, fills the air with all flavors and colors, spawns enjoyment for the avid "jazz-fan", gotta love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Sax Player, April 29, 2003

Paul Taylor continues to shine with the release of Hypnotic. Paul's distinctive sound touches the soul like no other. His sax comes alive with a passion and freshness each time I listen. His previous releases, On the Horn, Pleasure Seeker and Undercover were excellent but Hypnotic exceeds them. I am eagerly awaiting his next release, "Stepping Out". If you haven't heard Paul's music, start with Hypnotic and I am sure you will have the others in short order

5.0 out of 5 stars Who would have imagined, he would do it AGAIN, November 11, 2001

I have been a Paul Taylor fan for only 6 months. That's when I purchased my first Paul Taylor disc(Undercover). I immediately purchased Pleasure Seekers, and I was impressed with that one, also. I have been looking for On the horn for 5 months. No one had it in stock. So I ordered it and I have Hypnotic(both purchased at the same time). I have been playing all four disc non-stop. I rate all four disc with 5 stars. Any one that does not have or has not listened to Paul Taylor, should do it. Those of us that have experienced him know that he is definitely on his way to becoming one of the smoothest jazz artist of our time. I can't rate or pick any song as better than the other. On the Horn is definitely where Paul is, and he is playing it well. Tonya

Fluid, sensual and rhythmic sounds make this selection by Paul Taylor exceptional. Make no mistake this CD has a theme that is clearly apparent from the first selection to the last. He is now an artist who's future music I can purchase "site unseen!" Congradulation to Paul, very few have achieve such an accolade....

Love to you and all your friends and mine. Play, Listen, Love and enjoy.

Sincerely,
Max

I have bought many CD's in the past and found that there were only 1 or 2 cuts that I liked. This is not the case with this CD. I first heard a cut on a local jazz station. I was not disappointed when I bought it. Paul is so good that I bought two of his other CD's and I like them equally well. Great rhythm, light and crisp, with teasing melodies... BRILLIANT!!!!

UNDERCOVER is fantastic an with HYPNOTIC his music just seems to be getting better an better. I recently loaned HYPNOTIC to a friend who liked so much that she asked would I order it for her.I know it be awhile but I can hardly wait for next release.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Cruising with PT" has me "hypnotized" and "free falling".., March 21, 2002

I had the honor of watching Paul Taylor perform live at Kimball's East in Emeryville and I have to say, he was awesome. I had never heard him before, but I can tell you from my first encounter with his music he is definitely a music force to reckon with. I love every song on this CD but my absolute favorite is "Free Fall" and my favorite part of Free Fall is the first 12 seconds of the song. I tell you, PT is gooooood.

He is going to go places for sure.

This artist is SO smooth and sexy and sweet as can be. His music seems to slither all over your body, mind, and right into your soul. If that ain't hypnotic, I don't know what is!!! I think Paul Taylor's music is the most seductive I've ever heard. Mmm mmm mmm.....

Hypnotic just captured me and kept me grooving in utter bliss from beginning to end. I was just swept away by each tract, I'm truly in love with Paul right now, it's so amazing how each tract with and without words can easily put in a mood of love, relaxation and complete bliss.
