Driving Music,
By Jeff (Mass, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hypnotica (Audio CD)
Everyone has made the mistake of buying an entire CD because you heard one great song on it right? I was initially scared to buy Hypnotica for just that reason. I'd heard "Satisfaction" and thought it was really cool, but I didn't want to buy the CD and have none of the other songs live up to it. Well I can safely say that every single track on this CD is just as good if not better than "Satisfaction". It is just a very solid buy. Some people complain that all the songs sound the same, but that is simply a false statement. True, all the songs fall into one strict part of a genre, but I can say the same for many rap and hip-hop CD's as well. The truth is, if you are looking for a lot of variation, I suggest you go buy a Fatboy Slim CD, but if you are looking for hard-core synth and nothing else, this is the apex.

old school sound meets new club sound,
By SergeNYC "sergenyc" (Staten Island, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hypnotica (Audio CD)
imagine taking some of the best stuff out of the old school sound and merging it with a current club scene. This is perfect dance music for a club with heavy bass and over the top synth sounds. The whole album stretches to sound like a club compilation. It sounds so original and really stands out among other Djs who are jumping over to the mainstream sound. (PVD putting so much vocals on his last album even tries singing on one of the songs lol) Not to say there aren't any vocals here, but they all sound like a robotic dance instructor who is forcing you to move. Highly recommended for Club Heads(as other people mentioned). Although I love trance and stick to club music in a club, but this album really stands out and sticks right inside your head.

Refreshingly Different,
By "slique13" (SLC, UT USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hypnotica (Audio CD)
What can I say, this CD is amazing. I know some have complained that the songs all sound similar, and I guess that's accurate. But keep in mind that most people are used to listening to dance music CDs that are compilations consisting of trax from several different artists. Personally, I love Benny Benassi's sound. It's the first truly unique style that I've heard from electronic music in a long time. As a producer, I've got to say that I was totally impressed with the production quality of this CD--as good as it gets, simply impeccable.
