5.0 out of 5 stars Driving Music
Everyone has made the mistake of buying an entire CD because you heard one great song on it right? I was initially scared to buy Hypnotica for just that reason. I'd heard "Satisfaction" and thought it was really cool, but I didn't want to buy the CD and have none of the other songs live up to it. Well I can safely say that every single track on this CD is...

Everyone has made the mistake of buying an entire CD because you heard one great song on it right? I was initially scared to buy Hypnotica for just that reason. I'd heard "Satisfaction" and thought it was really cool, but I didn't want to buy the CD and have none of the other songs live up to it. Well I can safely say that every single track on this CD is just as good if not better than "Satisfaction". It is just a very solid buy.

Some people complain that all the songs sound the same, but that is simply a false statement. True, all the songs fall into one strict part of a genre, but I can say the same for many rap and hip-hop CD's as well. The truth is, if you are looking for a lot of variation, I suggest you go buy a Fatboy Slim CD, but if you are looking for hard-core synth and nothing else, this is the apex.

5.0 out of 5 stars old school sound meets new club sound, June 1, 2004

imagine taking some of the best stuff out of the old school sound and merging it with a current club scene. This is perfect dance music for a club with heavy bass and over the top synth sounds. The whole album stretches to sound like a club compilation. It sounds so original and really stands out among other Djs who are jumping over to the mainstream sound. (PVD putting so much vocals on his last album even tries singing on one of the songs lol) Not to say there aren't any vocals here, but they all sound like a robotic dance instructor who is forcing you to move. Highly recommended for Club Heads(as other people mentioned). Although I love trance and stick to club music in a club, but this album really stands out and sticks right inside your head.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshingly Different, July 9, 2004

What can I say, this CD is amazing. I know some have complained that the songs all sound similar, and I guess that's accurate. But keep in mind that most people are used to listening to dance music CDs that are compilations consisting of trax from several different artists. Personally, I love Benny Benassi's sound. It's the first truly unique style that I've heard from electronic music in a long time. As a producer, I've got to say that I was totally impressed with the production quality of this CD--as good as it gets, simply impeccable.

4.0 out of 5 stars if HAL2001 and Racter teamed up to make an album, November 2, 2003
This review is from: Hypnotica (Audio CD)
After hearing and bouncing to several songs in a local music store, I spontaneously bought this very fun CD. With robotic voices, thumpy beats and a heavy synthesizer, it's the sort of thing that any child of the eighties would love. And yet, it's not at all retro.

Satisfaction, the first single off the album, has this Stephen Hawkings robotic voice singing a duet with a female robotic voice. That woman's voice is present on the rest of the album. I also like the introductory monologue that starts out "No Matter What You Do". Although many of the songs have a similar sound, they are all very catchy and have me tapping my feet to the beat.

The album is aptly titled Hypnotica, and this album could equally serve as a background to work or for dancefloor anthems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great summer dance CD - buy this album!, July 11, 2003

Benny Benassi presents 'The Biz' -- I heard the single 'Satisfaction' on Miami's Party 93.1 and fell in love. This CD is great and Benassi is definitely an artist to keep your eyes on. Very erotically charged with electronica beats and synthesized vocals, this album is sure to rouse your sexual appetite while moving your feet on the dance floor. It could prove to be a HUGE success as a Dance Club / Trance anthem for summer 2003. ***BUY THIS ALBUM!***

This is a good CD to play at dance parties in spiral mode with other CDs. Adds some techno-funk to the atmosphere creating periodic waves of energy in the guests.

4.0 out of 5 stars The One Great song Makes the difference, October 5, 2006
This review is from: Hypnotica (Audio CD)
The First song in the CD makes a great difference
without it the CD would not be a 4 star.
The other songs are good just not as original.
Tip check out the video of this first song "Satisfaction"
Its going to be worth your time dowloading it and watching it.

A lot of people may criticize the "robot" voices they use throught this CD, but i think it is purely unique, and entirely Benassi's style. ALL of these songs just make you want to get up and dance.

Peace.

I <3 Benassi
