If you've been hemming and hawing about replacing your CRT monitor now is the time to get off the fence! No longer can you complain about the slower response time or the cost of the flat panel LCD. I've long been a flat screen advocate, but never could talk myself into the LCD because they seemed so flimsy and unreliable when compared with the CRT "tanks" I grew up with. Hyundai has made a truly unbeatable product which offers fantastic value for the dollar. I replaced my SONY MultiScan E500 21" CRT monitor that I paid $1000+ dollars for over 5 years ago, and I truly believe 19 inch Hyundai LCD offers a better graphics and picture. In addition it has a *much* smaller footprint that let me reclaim valuable desk real estate that I long forgot about. You will not be sorry to have spent the money on this, even if you have a perfectly good CRT or 15' LCD right now.

Believe the reviews. This monitor is astounding. Bright, beautiful, excellent performance, setup was a breeze, and a very, very friendly price.

The speakers are respectable. The headset jack is a nice touch.

The cons - the controls and monitor menu are under the rim of the monitor with membrane buttons. They are a bit awkward to work with and the pressure you need to apply to operate them can lift the corner of the entire monitor.

The monitor doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of other monitors, like downstream USB ports. I am, however, too deleriously happy with the monitor to care about little collateral features.

Read the Tigerdirect and Newegg reviews for this monitor to get the real story. Granted this is my first LCD, but I am coming from a 21" Sony Trinitron CRT. My wife and I both noticed how much more vivid the colors appear to be, and it is very sharp and bright. I love the blue power LED because it matches the rest of my system LEDs. Had 0 dead pixels too :) Awesome monitor, love it!

I wanted to purchase a 19 inch LCD monitor to replace my old CRT block. After reading numerous positive reviews, I decided to buy this monitor over other more expensive ones, have been very happy with my choice. No dead pixels, very good clarity and the response time works great with games. I have not tried the speakers, but I didn't buy the monitor with any intention of using them. The only minor thing is that a pin needs to be removed to change the height of the monitor, and the pin basically became worthless after a few days. I can still raise and lower the height, but the monitor will move if you push down on the top. However, this is a very minor thing. Built in USB ports would have been nice, but I don't miss them since I have a usb port in the front of my computer.

One feature that I especially like is both DVI and analog imputs. I am using the DVI now, but like having the option of converting this to analog if I get a second larger monitor since my GeForce 6800 video card supports dual monitors.

Overall, this is a great 19 inch monitor at a really great price and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I strongly urge you to read professional reviews of this monitor around the web. Several online magazines have rated it a "best buy" and for good reason. It's incredibly fast, leaving no trails at all in any games or when moving windows around. Not all manufacturers are honest when they say 8ms - most "8ms" monitors actually run at 25ms or higher.

I purchased two of these monitors. Setup was simple, both with digital (dvi) and analog (vga). The monitor I had hooked up with DVI worked right away, but the one hooked up to VGA was a bit blurry. The included CD had a program that automatically adjusted the VGA settings and fixed the bluriness right up. After running the included program, I can't tell the difference between the VGA and DVI.

The picture is clear and the colors are amazingly accurate. I notice things in my digital camera's pictures that I had no idea were there with my old 17" CRT. For example, I have a picture of a fat guy with facepaint on, and not until I got this monitor could I see the cracks in his caked-on makeup. Truly worth every penny.

Some reviewers have stated that the only flaw with this monitor is that it runs too bright. However, I do most of my work in a bright, sunlit room. For me, the brightness works perfectly, I can even play Doom 3 in the daylight. However, if you often work at night or in a dark room, you may want to check out the Viewsonic 19" lcd's which run a little darker.

Both are in perfect condition and have no dead pixels.

EDIT: One of them quit working a year later. Hyundai replaced it in about 8 days, free of charge.

Bought 4 months ago and am awaiting my 4th warranty return monitor. They paid shipping to replce the first one within 30 days the screen went blank and the second one had vertical random color bars. Now on my 3rd one half the screen goes grey out. 3 diferent monitors, 3 different panel problems. and I have to pay shipping every time?

I bought two of these through Amazon and a third party. The monitors arrived quickly and in perfect condition. There were no dead pixels. The monitors have great color, great contrast, respond quickly enough for video games and DVDs, and render text more sharply than any monitor I've ever seen at 1280x1024. They appear to have a 3 year warranty, some kind of anti-theft technology, and quite a wide viewing angle (170 degrees). My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the controls are little "bubble-like" buttons on the bottom right of the monitor that are a little hard to work with.

The shipper sent the product as advertised (no problem in the shipping). But, the monitor was not what I expected. It is hard to see certain objects and text on the monitor, even when I tried to adjust it. I would buy from Tigerdirect again, but not another Hyundai monitor.

Great value and performance. Arrived with no dead pixels. Contrast and color are excellent as is response time with DVI interface. Speakers are not much to rely on but that was not a priority.

This monitor is beyond belief! It is HUGE. I was switching from my old monitor bought back in 1999- a tiny 15 inch that was really starting to hurt my eyes. It is taking a lot to get used to the size of this thing- it's almost overwhelming. The picture and colors are amazing. The response time is great even for playing very complex games like WOW. The service I got from Tiger Direct was great as well. I accidentally ordered a different monitor first, and they were so helpful in cancelling that order and getting everything straightened out. The only thing that I would note about this is that it does have one dead pixel in the lower right hand side of the monitor, but there's not much you can do about that with a TFT screen... Overall, I give this monitor 5 stars!
