Punk is not dead. It was eaten by the mighty Chimpers.
Rarely does a band make me just enjoy the thrill of pure noise so much as these wonderful bastards. The new album contains a couple of rerecorded tracks that were available preciously on split vinyls and singles. But the new versions rock EVEN more if thats possible... which i didnt think it was until I put the record on.
Apparently i talk more about the Chimp than my wife... but thats a testament to their power. I am Come. The pure euphoria of rock. Perfectly packaged and finally released in the USA.
I cant stop smiling thinking about it...
Now if they'd only tour the US again...

proper rock music...., November 24, 2005
This review is from: I Am Come (Audio CD)
do you remember rock music ? PROPER rock music ?!!!
huge dirty slabs of monolithic riff-a-rama ?
big smelly, sweaty men shouting 'till they coughed-up their epiglottis.
no moaning, no make-up, no whinging, no crying about being dumped by some chick.
just wall-shaking, paint-striping, earth shakering, bone-crushing, yet life-affirming twinkley white noise (with a few shovels of cement thrown in)
there's a free Chimp MP3 on Monitor records website right-now. check it out.
bring the noise...
