It was informative into the mindset of what it takes to be a comedian and gave insight into what drives the individuals to perform. I found it interesting!

Perfect for anyone interested in the inner workings of what it takes to be a standup comic.

Vulgar and uncomfortable to listen to. I enjoyed the commentary of Jeff Foxworthy, Jim Gaffigan, and Brian Regan. These are the headliners, the real comics! They are clever with their thoughts and word placements, and they know comedy when they write it. The others are terrible comedians, who rely very heavily on vulgarity for a laugh. It's a shame there are not more talented people in comedy who can make you laugh by being clever and not gross!

Inside the laughter is neurosis, doubt, anger and minds that work so quickly, it's impossible to follow.
Here in this documentary, various generations of top stand-up comics bring you inside the craft -- and the life -- of the ones who make us laugh. They offer not just the mechanics of how jokes work, but in various situations (straight interviews, hanging out, en route to gigs) exhume the life, the process and the reality of what drives comics.
And yes, there are laughs. But also humanity and a sense of the angst that underscores so much of what drives the people telling the jokes.
