5.0 out of 5 stars Short And Sweet But To The Point And Full Of Truth
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in this short speech explains who he is, his mission and his responsibilities. He makes quick work of the Eastern Muslims who want to cast doubt as to his Messengership. He shows the Eastern Muslims to be complete hypocrites in condemning him but yet seeking friendships in America with the very infidels that their Holy Qu'ran condemns while...

1.0 out of 5 stars dishonorable elijah muhammed: not a muslim
this is just a warning to those who might be led astray. elijah muhammed is in no way a muslim and has no connection whatsoever, barring terminology, to islam. in fact, according to the Qur'an and true muslims, (ie. the people who have professed islam for 1400 years, as opposed to elijah muhammed who boldly stole the name for his own purposes less than 100 years ago) by...

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in this short speech explains who he is, his mission and his responsibilities. He makes quick work of the Eastern Muslims who want to cast doubt as to his Messengership. He shows the Eastern Muslims to be complete hypocrites in condemning him but yet seeking friendships in America with the very infidels that their Holy Qu'ran condemns while failing to do Islamic missionary work amongst the people in America who need it the most. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad then explains what his divine role is and to whom he was sent. This book provides a very good and quick overview of the Islamic missionary work conducted by the Elijah Muhammad.

1.0 out of 5 stars dishonorable elijah muhammed: not a muslim, May 19, 2002

This review is from: I Am the Last Messenger of Allah (Paperback)
this is just a warning to those who might be led astray. elijah muhammed is in no way a muslim and has no connection whatsoever, barring terminology, to islam. in fact, according to the Qur'an and true muslims, (ie. the people who have professed islam for 1400 years, as opposed to elijah muhammed who boldly stole the name for his own purposes less than 100 years ago) by claiming that wd fard, a raincoat salesman from detroit in the early twentieth century was Allah, the creator and ruler of all that exists, seen and unseen, elijah muhhamed (and fard) committed the only sin not forgivable by the All-Merciful: setting up others beside Him, or as equal to Him. an interesting side note is that wd fard was not even original enough to create the forgery himself but stole even the idea of subverting the terms of islam from the noble drew ali.
secondly, elijah muhhamed preached seperatism and was a racist. whatever the reason or value of his opinions and ideas, these are not the same or even similar to those of islam, which teaches unity and racial equality. true islam has nothing to do with race, as the qu'ran and hadith say nothing even remotely similar to what elijah muhammed claims.
one must wonder why elijah muhammed was so determined to steal from and malign islam? it is competely absurd, as well as sinful to claim Allah was a raincoat salesman in Detroit and just ignorant to say elijah muhhamed "makes quick work of the eastern muslims". it is disrespectful and dishonorable for elijah muhammed to call himself a muslim when his beliefs are completely contradictory to those of islam, as malcolm x discovered. it would seem that elijah muhhamed harbored a great hatred for islam/muslims and thus attempted to subvert the true teachings. i would have given this book zero stars were i able, except perhaps as a curiousity of american and african-american history.

5.0 out of 5 stars The gold standard for muslim conduct, September 26, 2002

This review is from: I Am the Last Messenger of Allah (Paperback)
In the end, revelation is judged not by appointed deities but by the bitter acceptance of mass effect. This book challenged the notion of claimed divinity with no visible fruit as vain repetition of ancient doctrine. It is indeed funny how those who disagree with Messenger Muhammad's little booklet attack not the fruit of his revelation, but the way and environment in which it was delivered. "There is much I could tell you, but, you cannot bear it now, but..." The preceeding quote is scripture, those with superiour 'intellect' could attack it's essence or origin, but oh, the many souls it saved, and-with but a solemn, sincere promise: better times ahead, for those who believe. Now, the root of this book deals with revelation. Do I believe it? It does not matter. Has it changed lives? ...Yes. Do I dispise this affect on human life? No. In this book Messenger Muhammad demands that his followers carry no weapon, not even a pen knife. Good teaching for today's climate, no doubt. He says be clean inward and out. Given, the Messenger's teaching was specifically targeted to African-Americans, given the cuurent state of affairs between Whites and Blacks in America and the World, what better foundation for us to stand on than these basic teachings? You say, "He called White people devils!" I say White people are in the best position to defend this statement, seeing that they have built much, and possess much in material and political power, it is not hateful to let them defend themselves as we have worked to show our worth in spite of hurtful speech. In the end, the bitter pill for both (Black and White) to swallow is not who hurled the most spiteful names, but who took up the banner of sober, responsible behaiviour and worked to make this nation a better place for our children.
