This Album is Too Good..., June 30, 2008
...to be only a second effort. It's brilliantly performed and produced. Every track here could be a hit single, that's no exaggeration. At different times every song has been my favorite, and the range of songs that they can perform is tremendous. Lisa's singing adapts to any song, from the country-flavored "You Can't See Me Because I'm a Stalker" to the very in-your-face "10,000 Pound Ego," which contains the line the album is named for, to "Heartrate 160," with one of my all-time favorite rock lines, "I've got news for you, I disappoint me too." The lyrics are always clever, the hooks are more than catchy. Buy this album. No way you'd regret it. Better yet, buy the album and go see them. The live show is not to be believed.
