5.0 out of 5 stars Only for Collectors..., November 26, 2002

This review is from: I Am Mine (Audio CD)
U.K. limited edition of single, contains album tracks "I Am Mine," "Bu$hleaguer," and bside "Undone." Appears to be from a run of 100,000 cds for mine is numbered "00280." It appears that the digipack was printed poorly for there are three orange diminute rings of what appears to be an error in printing, and the numbers from the limited editon # are printed poorly also.
In my opinion, this cd is only for die hard collectors, unless you already own the U.S. edition of the single. Heres why:
If you dont own the U.S. edition of the single, buying the other import edition of this single would give you two bsides ("down" and "undone")instead of just one, whereas if you do own the U.S. version, then you already own "down" and are only missing undone, and since the price of the two imports is the same, getting the limited edition single would be more convininent.
If you are a diehard fan, and collector, youll probably end up owning regardless of anything else, like i do...

about the tracks:
"I am mine" is a mellow song, with awsome arrangements... youve got to put your ear up to hear how preciously the composition was handled. The strong vocals and direct lyrics make the song stand out even more. If you had the opportunity to listen to this song in any of Ed Vedder's last performances, youll be amazed to hear how better the studio version is. Mike Mcready's solo right at the end is glorious, and its probably one of the best solos on a PJ song ever.

"Bu$hleaguer" is a half-spoken, half-sung, tune with riffs and bass that sound like vitalogy, but with a voice remniscent of "push me/pull me" or "im open." The track has a political agenda and its vs tou know who. At first this track is hard to grasp, but over time, it will become one you wont want to skip.

"Undone" sounds very 80's. Sort of like "the smiths" meets "the cure" type of sound. In the lyrics Ed sings "the world has come undone..." while a vocoder chorus can be heard in the background... i have found this song to be an almost unique song in the PJ catalogue and is very hard to compare it. It is great though...

To sum it all up, this cd is great and was definitively worth it.
