One of the Best,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Am the Ocean (Hardcover)
I don't know how some books get to be noticed and others not. . .it certainly does not make sense that this extremely well written book (applies to all ages) has not been better marketed. Please try to find a copy, each school that I teach in I tell the librarian who immediately orders and is thrilled with the text! A Must READ book, excellent for writing seminars if you are discussing point of view, personification, etc.

This is a first-rate children's book!,

This review is from: I Am the Ocean (Hardcover)
I am not easily impressed by children's books (I write books for kids myself) but this one gets my A+++ rating. In this book, the ocean speaks in lush, poetic prose. "I am the ocean...once I wet the toes of dinosaurs but that was long ago." The illustrations by James Endicott are equally stunning. This is a must book for teachers who run writer's workshops and want examples of great writing as models for young writers. Ralph Fletcher
