How in the world could anyone give a Steve Wariner cd 5 stars? They must be crazy to think that the "Poor Man's Vince Gill" could ever make a good recording.

I'll tell you how I can give it 5 stars. It has 10 songs that fit perfectly with one another.

It has proven songs like "Tips of My Fingers" that was simmingly written for Steve Wariner.

It also has original songs like "Leave Him Out of This" that has more passion and feeling than almost any song recorded in the 1990's.

It has great picking songs like "Crash Course in the Blues" which shows how complete of a perfomer Wariner is.

And is also has all those songs that weren't singles that are just as good as the ones released as singles.

And something that I never overlook, and can make or break an album, it has awesome graphics. I can picture the cover Lp sized in the front window of the Ernest Tubb record shop in 1965.

Complete package. Essential recording.

I rarely listen to country music anymore. It's either too hokey, insincere or not relevant to me. But this disc smells as sweet as a wood fire on a cold December night. Simple and honest is the best description I can give. This ranks way up on my list of "favorite" discs. A list very short on country performers.

Of all the country music I own, this is my most favorite collection of songs. Stranded on a tropical island, this would be the CD. Never get tired of the variety, incredible voice, and superb talent of Mr. Steve Wariner.

I have been listening to Steve Wariners music for the better part of 20 years now.The first "country" act I ever saw live was him.He is basically responsible for converting me to country.Forget the so-called "reviews" by the media,just mention a few of his songs to any country music fan,& you will get real-people reviews.I will always admire this mans talent in writing,singing,and playing that guitar,(the man CAN play).

Another great country singer that is 'under-rated'. I have no idea as to why? But it is the straight truth. Steve Wariner is by far a great singer to heart. I heard other singers sing the all time song.....On The Tips of my Fingers, In fact The late great Faron Young sings this song all to well. But there are others that has sung this song. But Mr. Wariner does this song the very best.This song was very near and true to my heart many years ago, as I was in a moment of a very hard time, and this song really was the one that tells my entire story as to what I was going through at that time. That was about 20 years ago. That is why I am the first to jump up and defend country music, Is because of the stories.....the Stories they tell. And believe it or not sometimes one would think, when they hear a country song. 'Hey that guy or girl really must have got hurt. It is not so much the singer himself or herself that got hurt. But It about 70% of the listeners that have went through some of the things mentioned in the songs that the artist is singing about. And I know that I am telling the truth about that. However I am sure that some of these country and western singers have met up in life with 'Mr. Hurt" we all have, it is just a part of life. But it is so amazing as to how you can be in a moment of whatever you are going through, and you hear a country song, and it clearly reminds you of what is going on around you at that time. This is what Steve Wariner does in a lot of his songs on this CD. He has subperb talent. You will not go wrong buying this CD. I stand on my word. His voice sings very well and very meaningful in all of his songs. A great CD.Once again you have to have a taste for country music. I feel they really tell the "REAL" truth about life in general. I would say just listen to the meaning in some of the songs.

If you've never heard of Steve Wariner, where have you been all of your life? Get on board this man's freight train. He is just a really, great really, smooth singer, and a phenomenal song writer too. You won't be sorry, you purchase "ANY" Steve Wariner Music, I assure you of this.

A poor man's Vince Gill?? Who would say such a thing? Steve & Vince are BOTH talented musicians. One not being any "better" than the other. I was lucky to meet Steve when "I Am Ready" came out. I knew one or two songs before but became a big fan when this recording came out. Every song on this CD paints & tells a story. Usually you will get a couple of good songs off a CD but every song on here could have been a hit on the radio. Something you don't see much in music anymore.

With the release of Steve Wariners, I Am Ready CD I found a wonderful collection of classic Wariner songs that is sure to please his long time fans. With songs like; The tips of my fingers, Leave him out of this, and A Woman loves, Steve Wariner displays his vocal abilities and guitar style that is sure to catch the attn of country fans young and old. This CD is a must for anyone who considers themselves a fan of country music !

I played the cassette over and over so much in my car that my husband thought I had a thing for Steve. While he IS good looking it was the music that drew my attention. I never grew tired of it. I cannot wait to get my CD!

This session has what you been looking for in deep dance music.
tha drums get you moving from inside out. When listinig to this trak try to focus on the sound hiden in the background and in an instant you travel outside your brain. GOOD luck.
