Their Best Album Now In Good Sound Quality and Packaging!, November 5, 2006
Great as Earth, Wind and Fire is, they have never really been known as anything other than a singles band but if you are looking for their best non-compilation album, this one has to be it. Even the filler tracks here are good and with "In the Stone", they have what is probably one of the best ever tracks to have ever opened any album. Other all-time great EW&F tracks are here such as "After the Love is Gone", "Boogie Wonderland" and "Star". In this version, we also get a very well designed and executed mini-lp replica sleeve which very faithfully resembles the original album cover as well as an insert with all the lyrics in English and Japanese. The biggest plus of this version is the remastered sound quality which is very good. For all fans of EW&F and of great soul/acid jazz/r&b music, this version of this album comes highly recommended.

I Am by Earth, Wind, and Fire, May 7, 2009
My fav E, W & F CD. Music shows where they were at as they were transitioning from Disco to what would become R & B. They were a leader in this transition. Good upbeat stuff.

Number Three In The Great Trilogy Of E,W & F Masterpieces!!, April 3, 2009
Every true Earth, Wind & Fire fan who goes all the way back
to the 70's with them as I do, knows that out of all their
fantastic output released between 1973 and 1981, there were
3 albums (THE HOLY TRILOGY) that truly and clearly define what
Earth, Wind & Fire was about for all posterity!
1977's Opus "All-N-All", 1975's breakthrough masterpiece
"That's The Way Of The World", and last but certainly not least,
1979's Zenith... "I AM"!!
Just put this CD on or any of those 3 that I mentioned,
and every track stands on it's own!---No junk tracks!
I was 15 when this one dropped in the early summer of 1979,
and I played the grooves off of 2 copies of this album and
had to get a 3rd by late fall of that year!
I also saw them in concert, touring for this album in Seattle
in early 1980!!--Amazing!!
Alot of people rib on this album because Maurice White,
like alot of other producers and members of major acts of
that time, decided to capitalize on the HUGE disco craze
and came up with what would become one of the last masterpieces
of the disco era..."BOOGIE WONDERLAND"!!
As disco songs went, this song had much more soul, much more
intricate production, arrangement, etc. than any other song
from that time! This was a killer roller disco jam,
as well as a club disco jam that used to put booties
to shakin' all over the world!
The rest of the songs like "In The Stone", "Can't Let Go",
"After The Love Has Gone", "Let Your Feelings Show",
"Star", "Wait" "Rock That" and "You And I"
were pure E, W & F at it's creative zenith!
You can't go wrong with this one!---Buy It!!
