THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL GINUWINE ALBUM,
By
This review is from: I Apologize (Audio CD)
This is not an official Ginuwine release. Most of these songs do not feature Ginuwine. The songs that do feature Ginuwine are songs left over from the "Back To Basics" studio sessions.
Some guy is trying to pass this off as a Ginuwine album and its quite obvious with old photograph and the dated logos used from "The Life" project that this is not authentic. Ginuwine himself has a videotaped message about this that is scheduled to appear on his myspace page at [...]

Ginuwine should sue whoever tarnished his name,

Giuwine bombed with his respectable yet overlooked and under promoted last album Back II Basics and a little over a year later he's totally disrespected by some wack DJ with this CD release. Truth be told Ginuwine is only on two songs and neither one really show's G's true vocal talent. Avoid this CD at all costs and if I can offer any advice to Ginuwine for your next CD I would hook up with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, The Underdogs, Polow Da Don and Sean Garret for your next CD.

Ginuwine appears on a few tracks but the album is the work of a shady Bay Area producer that has misused Ginuwines name to make money.

Ginuwine - I Apologize,
This review is from: I Apologize (Audio CD)
R & B veteran Ginuwine's (A.K.A. Elgin Baylor Lumpkin) latest album is "I Apologize" (2007) a short but solid release. After the intro Ginuwine get's things started with the upbeat title track "I Apologize", talking to his women and apologizes for doing her wrong. Ginuwine then drops a love ballad with "Since I Found You". My own favorite track on this release is "Better Days", a heartfelt track which has a passionate Ginuwine singing soulfully in a search for a better tomorrow while giving shutouts' to friends and family. This is a premium joint to me as I can relate to it; we all have our ups and downs and work to create a better future. "It's Real" has Ginuwine crooning away, while "What It's Gunna Be" is about picking up a lady at the mall. G-Dep & Loon who are also releasing an album today, collaborate with Ginuwine on "Like Me" , a track which is featured on both albums. A decent remix of "I Apologize" is the last full length track on this release. I would not rank this release as one of Ginuwine's best but its still a stellar effort which features a couple of joints that old and new fans alike will enjoy.

well, i got this cd yesterday and finally got a chance to listen to it. all i can say is wow. i mean im really really glad i didnt actually pay money for it, because it would've been a big dissappointment. also, alot of the songs on this cd aren't even ginuwine singing so, i don't know whats up with that, but again its a dissappointment. however im not gonna lie though i do like a few songs though, and they're not that bad, it just wouldve been much better if ginuwine was singing them.

NOT AN "OFFICIAL" ALBUM,

so the reports are true, according to ginuwine himself under his myspace page under the name "ginuwinezone," its not an official Ginuwine release. True indeed he signed off on the release to be distributed in the bay area ONLY to help some up and coming artists. But everything on the album w/his voice were basically rejects from other albums/recording sessions. It was supposed to be titled "ginuwine presents:" but to boost their sales they have ppl thinking its a ginuwine album. true indeed, his last few albums have been far less than stellar & i felt after "the life" he needed some Timbo back in his life. But thats beyond the point i knew there was NO WAY he coulda put out this crap. i didnt buy the CD, but a friend was stupid enough to. I told her the pic looks like old ginuwine from the "bachelor" album and the title writing looks like 100% (all the singles from that era) something just wasnt right. They aptly named it 'i apologize' because whoever did tis owes us all an apology. They just did the opposite 4 all those they were trying to help by being jerks about the situation. And they're going to make it hard 4 anyone else who genuinely wants help from a solidified artists because look at what happens.
