My Testimony from I Win

Biography

Over the last five years, eight-time Grammy Award nominated singer Marvin Sapp has experienced some of the highest heights and the lowest depths a man can face.
After two decades as a respected Gospel artist, Sapp burst to superstar status on the heels of his 2007 radio smash, “Never Would Have Made It,” which beat out hits by The Beatles and Elvis Presley to hold the record as ... Read more in Amazon's Marvin Sapp Store

After listening to this album, I immediately purchased all of Marvin's previous albums, Nothing Else Matters and Grace and Mercy. His music is truly a blessing. This CD along with Grace and Mercy have truly touched my heart and the lyrics are compassionate and practical. Nothing Else Matters was produced in part by Fred Hammonds and sounds more contemporary than his last two efforts and fails to capture the depth of his talent. Marvin is much better when backed by a choir and in a live setting as shown by Gracy and Mercey and I Believe. You have got to get these albums. I am a big gospel fan and there is rarely a gospel album that I have not atleast given one listen to and I can tell you that whether you are a Mississippi Mass fan or a Mary Mary fan, you will be blessed by this album. I must admit I am not a shouter or cryer in church, but there are songs on this album that had me almost in tears and ready to run thinking about how blessed I am and how good God is. This album is not good, it is GREAT. BUY IT.

I have to say I took my time about purchasing this CD only because I see Marvin on a weekly basis. He offered us the first chance at buying the CD before it hit the stores and I still passed it up. After he performed "I believe" at one of our festivals I went and got it. I have to say this is definitely one of Marvin's best. His vocals, background, and arrangements are excellent. I've heard Marvin sing for years, since we were in college together and you can actually hear his growth on this CD. If you haven't purchased it, do so today!! If you need further proof and are ever in the Grand Rapids, MI area, stop by Bethel Pentecostal and witness him first hand. You'll be a fan for life. Praise God for this wonderful blessing!!

When I heard the song "I Believe" I couldn't wait until it was released so I could go out and buy it - because Marvin is one of my favorite gospel artists. His music is phenominal - such an anointing. I already loved "I Believe" but when I got the CD and heard "Live the Life" and "Yet I" - these 3 are my favorites now - but I love them all and of course the medley - "There is None like You", plus "Unworthy" and "Not Now Doesn't Mean Never" these are all great. I have all his CDs except one. Whenever Marvin puts out a CD - I have to have it because I know it will be The Best! God Bless You Marvin, and keep on ministering in song and word to us!

What can one say!? Marvin has taken his listeners back to church! His title track, "I Believe" has excellent production and tight background vocals. Not to mention that on this song Sapp interrupts the song to offer a 30-second exhortation that is completely natural and unforced. Upcoming singer/songwriter Smokie Norful also adds his flavor as he co-writes "All About You" and this song features Sapp displaying his range in this funky groove. But I think the highest point of the album comes from "None Like You Medley." The song starts softly with Sapp's spoken introduction, then moves into two powerful praise and worship classics, "None Like You" and "I Worship You, Almighty God." The song is musically powerful, and the anointing permeates through the tight harmony of the singers. This album does it all, and will go down as an awesome music ministry and demonstrates the spirit of excellence!

This CD is a mixture of praise and encouragement. I truly enjoy listening to the words of the song and being able to relate to them. Each song builds you up again and again. Marvin Sapp really sings from his heart. My most favorite is "Come and Dine". This song is an invitation to all that need and want the Lord in their lives. "You don't have to be alone, the feast of the Lord is going on". Everything is prepared for you to recieve the Lords blessings. It gives you "Praises", "Live The Life", and what to "Believe". If you've had a bad day and need songs of encouragement, buy it, listen to it, and enjoy.

This has got to be one of Marvin's best. I enjoyed every song from beginning to end. The only song I really didn't care for was "I love to Praise him" but other than that this CD was perfect. The songs were just off the hook. From "I Believe" to "Not Now Doesn't Mean Never" you can't do nothing to just praise the lord. Just get this CD, it's truly a blessing. The lyrics and the overall sound on this album is just great. Marvin did a great job on this one.

Marvin, Marvin, Marvin! Whew! What an exhilarating ride. I bought this CD because I heard the second track, Standing on the Rock, one day in my car on the radio. I had to have it! The funky pulsating beat and spiritually laced lyrics had me hooked. To my delight the rest of the CD was equally mesmerizing. Everything from the production to the musical arrangements is excellent. May God continue to bless us with Mr. Sapp and his musical ministry !!!
