This review is from: I Call My Grandpa Papa (Hardcover)
I loved the concept of this book when I read the pre-publishing tidbits on Amazon so I promptly pre-ordered it. It totally met my expectations when it arrived! The multicultural examples are educational and fun to ponder. So many languages are so similar in the words we use for our grandparents and parents - and this delightful book brings them all together in a classroom setting. The teacher goes around the room and different children talk about their activities with their grandfather - using the name that they use in their native language. The sentences are in rhyme and fun! The illustrations are entertaining and well done. At the end of the book there is a whole list of the different ways to say GRANDPA in a whole lot of languages. I highly recommend this book as a lesson in multicultural and multigenerational understanding! Kudos to Ashley Wolff! ...and then there's Grandma Nana, too! I Call My Grandma Nana

I bought this book for my toddler's Papa so he could read it to her. She has 3 grandfathers and calls them different things...this is a great book for explaining the different names for our grandparents and very culturally sensitive. We loved it!
