About Joan Perrin-Falquet

Artist Joan Perrin-Falquet received a B.F.A. with a combined major in Illustration and Fine Arts at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she was awarded a full tuition, four year merit scholarship.

Upon graduating, she worked at HarperCollins Publishers where she learned about the publishing industry from the inside, while continuing to establish herself as an illustrator. Joan was selected to illustrate the gift edition of the New York Times bestselling book, You Can Heal Your Life, by Louise L. Hay.

Louise is one of the bestselling authors of all time and founder of the largest self-help and inspirational publishing houses in the world, Hay House. Because of the amazing world wide success of their first collaboration, Joan has gone on to illustrate a multitude of books with Louise Hay, as well as numerous calendars, card decks, websites, CDs, phone apps and more. These colorful 2-sided affirmation cards are really great! The title should be "self-esteem" instead of "forgiveness" since these cards are much more about building your self-esteem than her deck of cards with that title. Some of my favorite cards are:

"I know that old, negative patterns no longer limit me. I let them go with ease."

"Each day is a new opportunity. Yesterday is over and done. Today is the first day of my future."

"When I make a mistake, I realize that it is only part of the learning process."

"I love and accept my family exactly as they are right now."

"I cannot change another person. I let others be who they are, and I simply love who I am."

"It is now safe for me to release all of my childhood traumas and move into love."

"I get the help I need, when I need it, from various sources. My support system is strong and loving."

These affirmation cards are my favorite of all the cards I have! I have six of Louise Hay's affirmation card sets as well as other people's affirmation cards. This set were really on target for making positive changes by saying these daily affirmations. I highly recommend buying this set of affirmation cards! :)

Simple but, powerful thoughts about letting go of anger in your heart. I got this set for myself and one for my sister. She loved them and uses them as book marks in her Al Anon book. Well worth the $6.00

These cards are a beautifully simple and lovely way to help guide one's self (or a loved one- if given as a gift)on a daily meditative road to recovery from whatever ails the heart.
I was grateful that these cards were not obnoxious or soaked with any specific religious quotes or one liners.
