I bought this book as I have read many similar motivational and success oriented books. Totally disappointed as this book just seems to collect information from many of the others. While it mentions that it captures thoughts from many other entrepreneurs, you are probably better off watching 'Dragon's Den.'

How to you explain something that has had such a powerful effect on your life? McKenna reminds us that there are many kinds of "rich" and to look for the riches already in your life. It caused me to acknowledge that my life, both the rich and the not so rich aspects, were a reflection of the "wealth" I'd created. I'd been ignoring the evidence that I was a powerful manifestor! Now I'm aware and grateful everyday of what I've already created and that I'm capable of creating much more.

Do the worksheets in this book. As I did one of them, I was shocked at how much "@#%&" I STILL had about money! Old childhood programming was lurking in my subconscious - I had no idea it was even there. Listen to the CD that's included with the book. It's an opportunity to make real changes. As another reviewer wrote, the CD alone is worth the price of the book (but you've got to use it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Program your self-set obstacles away, December 22, 2008
By
Karen Chung (Taipei, Taiwan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: I Can Make You Rich (Paperback)
The two main things this book offers, in my view, are (1) help getting you into the right mindset for setting up and running your own business, mainly by clearing away all kinds of negative beliefs and self-doubt you carry mostly in your subconscious; and (2) guidance through the process of drawing up a concrete, viable plan for starting a successful business you run with passion. If this is what you're after, this book is unquestionably worth the cover price and the time it will take you to read it. I'd recommend waiting until you're really serious about starting a business before listening to the CD, though, since it's quite powerful and will start working on you as soon as you listen to it. Actually, that brings me to a third thing I have gotten out of the two McKenna books I have, and actually it was this that drew me to them in the first place - and that is, explanations and demonstrations of how to harness your unconscious brain to effect life changes and facilitate learning. As an educator, I see a lot of potential in this approach, and McKenna gives real-life examples of how it can be done.

The book is printed in large, comfortable type with extra space between the lines, and the writing is very accessible, so you'll breeze through it easily - but you'll want to come back and go over parts of it carefully once you're ready to take action. McKenna also has a big online presence offering you further options to pursue his programs and connect with other readers. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended, May 23, 2008

I've used many motivational and inspirational books over the years to help me achieve one or another goal. I picked up this book recently to help me move past my current plateau and I'm very impressed with both the quality and content of the book and the hypnotic CD that comes along with it.
Paul uses many effective techniques from disciplines like NLP and Hypnosis to guide the reader to develop the wealth consciousness necessary to make positive changes. This book has now been added to my permanent library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, what a feeling!, November 23, 2008
I love this book. Not only do I love the book but I love the CD as well!!
Since reading this book I have really expanded my view of the riches that I have in my life, not only financially but in all other key areas. Thank you so much to Paul McKenna for writing this great book and for giving me so many ways in which to view my true wealth and for the gratitude that I feel every day as a result of reading this book and listening to the CD. He gives practical tools to use and has a delicious, dreamy voice!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Richer than I was!, November 28, 2010

I first discovered this author on education TV when he was doing "I Can Make You Thin" . . . which actually worked for me, as I went from 152 to 125 pounds with no trouble at all.

Then I discovered his "I Can Make You Sleep" . . . which works also!

I have just started "I Can Make You Rich" . . . so I do not know how rich I will be, though I am richer than when I started due to some unexpected class action suits I had participated in several years ago.

I will keep you posted.

This is the second book I have read by Paul. He has a refreshing style of writing and shares some very good ideas. I will be getting this book as gifts this year for nieces and nephews as well as friends who may be considering opening a business.

no, I have not won the lottery yet because of this book, but I really love it as well as all the books I have by the same author. Perhaps the best part of the book is the message that change is possible. The CD itself is worth more than the price of the book/cd set.

It is AMAZING how McKenna make you think more of your self, including RICH.
It worked within the first week!
And then I listened to the CD, which I need to do again.
Inspiring... motivating.

5.0 out of 5 stars It really works, August 3, 2009
This review is from: SOS Title Unknown (Paperback)
I've read numerous books of this nature, but none of them have been as effective as I Can Make You Rich.

Unlike most books, which just tell you what you should and should not be thinking and doing, this one has dozens of exercises which, if you do them, really and truly work to alter your mindset and hence, your actions.

The hypnosis CD is pure genius except for the fact that there is no induction. He somehow has the misapprehension that everyone can drop into a hypnotic trance at the drop of a hat. Very poor insight into and understanding of hypnosis, and renders the CD completely useless.

However, if you can overlook this extremely unfortunate flaw, the written exercises are both excellent and effective. It really is tops in this genre.

1.0 out of 5 stars Another make you rich scheme, July 22, 2010
This review is from: SOS Title Unknown (Paperback)
I bought this book as I have read many similar motivational and success oriented books. Totally disappointed as this book just seems to collect information from many of the others. While it mentions that it captures thoughts from many other entrepreneurs, you are probably better off watching 'Dragon's Den.'

Thick book that is actually written in a large font and as I have never said that I haven't learnt anything from a book, I won't start now, as I always learn something. This book has some moments of 'brilliance' but not enough to justify buying or reading it. Probably best to skim read (If you really have to).

If you really do want to read a better book, read 'The Success Principles: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield.
