I live in the UK so I decided to order it a couple months ago from movietyme for £15 (about $25) So, I got an e-mail on April 4th, stating that it had already shipped. I was a bit shocked and lo-and-behold it arrived today, April 14th. Five days before the US and I payed not a penny P&P.

Like season 5, it's a 3 disc set, 8 episodes on each disc and is in one 3-disc viva multi-pack case. You get a small leaflet outlining the episodes and that's pretty much it.

The episodes here are all great, and it's nice to watch some new ones for a change, rather than re-playing the first five seasons over and over. I also noticed that it's region free, which is quite peculiar. I managed to play it on my laptop, and region B blu-ray players fine, and the same with Season 5. And it's not a fake.

Anyway, 10/10 for the show as usual, it's nice to finally have the complete collection after waiting 6 years! About a year after Season 4 came out, and there was still no announcement of a fifth season I had given up, so this is like a dream come true for me! Picture quality isn't exactly great, but then again the show was filmed that way. Definitely recommended and a must buy!

Im very excited that season 5 will be released on May 11th, all Fresh prince fans need to go buy it so they will have to release the sixth season so we can finish our collection. Season 6 had some great hilarious episodes like Not I Barbeque and I clownius and especially the last two episodes which were very emotional and a great end to the series. Come on Warner give the fans what they want. Season 6 as well, and it needs to be announced soon after 5 is released to capatilize on the momentum that the release of season 5 will generate from the people who have been waiting years!!!

This is a great series from the mind of Brooklyn's own Samm Artt Williams. If you watched the first to last season you would have witnessed the transformation of Will Smith from child to adult. You could see his star power in episode one when he arrives at his uncle's house and hugs Jeffery the butler calling him uncle Phil. He is totally out of place. It is uncomfortable. By the last episode, we have a young man that not only fits in but is basically the spirit of the household. Everyone is moving on. The family to NY and Will has no place to go but doesn't want to say anything because he doesn't want to be a burden. This is a heartfelt ending that can move you to tears. The last episode has many surprise guests who has moved on. This is also a great legacy for James Avery. It is fun clean show that the majority of the family could watch.

In search of good family entertainment without inappropriate behaviors, I went back to some of the older sitcoms. Fresh Prince is more suited for younger children in the earlier seasons; the older he gets, the more the show deals with older issues so it really depends on the age of your children. I personally prefer the earlier seasons for that reason, but all of the seasons are crazy funny.

It's quite obvious that they were running out of ideas in this final season of Fresh Prince. With a rehash of old plots and predictable humor, it was kind of mundane sitting thru it. Story and DVD content-wise it deserves 2 stars. But I had to give it an additional star as it one of the tv series I grew up on.

And darn it, it was nostalgic to see these characters one last time and to just archive the colorful world that was Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

It was great to have the option of watching it on Amazon. I had been renting through Netflix for the first five seasons but the sixth and final season was mysteriously unavailable for the foreseeable future. I wasn't about to let my "marathon" commitment of the entire series fall short, and Amazon came to the rescue. Not only was the show the breakout vehicle for Will Smith, but also a nice tribute to the late James Avery (aka Uncle Phil) who passed away last New Year's Eve. In addition, it was great to see Dancing With The Stars champion Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton) back in the day. The rest of the cast was also outstanding: Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Ross Bagley (Nicky), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey the butler), along with the two Aunt Vivians (Janet Hubert-Whitten for Seasons 1-3, Daphne Maxwell Reid for Seasons 4-6). Finally, DJ Jazzy Jeff as Jazz (Will Smith's real life rap partner) was great comic relief. I didn't feel the show was as gentle as family comedies in the 1980's such as The Cosby Show or Family Ties, but it's still better than just about anything the main networks offer in the 21st century on the sitcom front. I love the fish out of water premise of this series and many other scripted stories.

Always liked Will Smith. With what is available on TV these days, it is refreshing to find something that is actually funny without any language, sex, or violent issues.

So it comes down to the last straw. Like any other great sitcom, it was no suprise that this show has "jumped the shark" and I believe it has since the beginning of season 5. Other than the Thanksgiving episodes, the episode with Jaleel White, and the series finale (only 5), there was not one episode from this season that I can enjoy. I think the jokes and the acting on this season were also forced (more so than the previous season) not to mention way more obnoxious. The last episode from season 5 pretty much leaves off with a cliff hanger (what ever happen to Lisa, Will's fiance who decided not to marry him?). How low can the series stoop on a season premiere where Will burns down the kitchen by stupidly cooking flambee because he was bored? How much longer can I stand Will lip-synching to "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Goin'?" How dumber and louder can Carlton get? How drier can Vivian be? On the final season, the script and acting expresses more than words on how tired Will Smith was with the series and wanted to pursue other opportunities such as getting involved with more movies. The last two seasons of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air proves that not every good thing lasts and the series is'nt the first or the last sitcom to fall under that bad spell.
