5.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia
I bought this on vinyl when it came out 15 years ago. Lately, songs like Silly Girl, Pervert, Good Good Things and Christmas Vacation have been invading my subconscious, giving me a major Descendents jones. I Don't Want To Grow Up satisfied that jones in a big way. I still dig all my old favorites and rediscovered some that I'd forgotten, like My World, In Love This...

3.0 out of 5 stars Descendent's worst
The Descendents are one of the all time greats in the history of Punk Rock. They came out early, defining a genre that today we would call Pop Punk. Today's Pop Punk is far inferior to the melodic, catchy tunes the Descendents brought us in their prime. Their songs were about real issues in life, and when they used humour they were authentically funny. My respect for this...

I still dig all my old favorites and rediscovered some that I'd forgotten, like My World, In Love This Way and Ace. From beginning to end, it's a great listen - and it took me back to a time when I communicated with my middle finger and drove my parents crazy with obnoxious, blaring punk rock (is there any other kind?).

5.0 out of 5 stars They lied, and grew up, September 19, 2004

They didn't wanna grow up but they did and made a more perfect album than even Milo goes to college. This album starts of with the song "Descendents" which pretty much tries and picks up the pieces after three years have gone by. Every song is amazing and even more so the band tried different tempos and styles and also Milo sings a lot more rather than screaming. I guess it might seem a lot more emo or whatever but it still has the passion that they always do and just really catchy songs. The only bad things are Frank Navetta is gone and that the song I dont want to grow up becomes very annoying after a few listens.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good ol' punk rock, August 24, 2008
Good old school punk rock from the masters. These guys have an awesome sound, and have that nerdy pop-punk image. This is one of my favorite albums from them. Definitely worth a listen, but not for everyone.

I declare this to be the best of them all because their are a ton of great songs and they had good humor at the right timing. If you are a newbie to the band get this first. you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is another great one from the Descendents..., January 13, 1999

This album is a more diverse mix than Milo Goes To College, and the more 'pop' oriented tunes are great and very listenable for just about any audience. Theirs is a style that is truly unique and transcends typical punk or pop from the genre. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite album from Descendents, April 14, 2005

Somery album is a compilation of the best from Milos band , but when it comes about their official releases i consider that "I dont Want to grow up" is their most solid release and the album that shows to Descendents in their best shape age and moment , this album is funny, judgemental, dinamic, intelligent, 100% enjoyable, 80s punk is amazing pretty much better than punks bands available today , in 80s punk bands had a reason to exists; love for Punk Rock, real love i mean, today theres only one reason: be stars, be rich and be famous, nothing wrong with this but the main reason is suposed to be love for punk rock genre, the rest will come along , but maybe the real Punk rock spirit is dead by now, descendents will allow us to remain better times however

This is the Descendents at their best. Transition from Descendent hardcore to their current poppish sound, but still awesome Punk Rock. Best songs are "My World" and "Silly Girl" but the whole CD is great. If you like new or old stuff by this band you will love this album.

These guys never fail to put out the most intense, funny, most punk suburban rock you've ever seen. This one gets five stars with an extra star for the great sound on such an under- produced CD!!!! (Auckerman is GOD!!!!)
