He's got one of the best voices in the business. 5 stars isn't enough praise to place on this album.

This is the best CD Mark Chesnutt has released... My favorite song on the CD is the title track "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing". This version of the song is better than the version done by Aerosmith... A plus to any country collection!

Mainstream Nashville . . .,

This 1999 release is a far cry from Mark Chesnutt's more honky-tonk material ("Savin' the Honky Tonk," 2004), but for mainstream Nashville, the guy's got a great voice, and the songs are meant to please modern-country sensibilities. Every one of them is about love, love won, or love lost. It's Tim McGraw-Faith Hill material, especially the first cut, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."
There's sweet nostalgia in "Tonight I'll Let My Memory Take Me Home" and a touch of Cajun in "Jolie." The guy is totally infatuated in "I'm Gone." And tough love takes a comic turn in "My Way Back Home." Only 10 great songs on this CD (and some are great for dancing), but the price is right. Comes with lyrics and some great publicity shots of the singer.

I DO NOT like crountry music at ALL! But Mark Chesnut is my only exception. I have heard the Aerosmith version, but I actually like this one better. Nice work, Mark!

How many cd's can you buy that has songs written by MARK NESLER, TONY MARTIN, ROGER SPRINGER, DEAN DILLION, SKIP EWING, PAUL DAVIS, PAUL OVERSTREET & MARK CHESNUTT ON IT!?!?!?!?!?!All of the writers are worth bowing down to. Mark Nesler is a super song writer/Singer. Springer is like the god of great Chesnutt songs. Just go back and listen to "As The Honky Tonk Turns" and "Thank God For Believers". Dean Dillion is the absolute man!!! With classics like "Unwound" and "The Chair", he can't miss. Then you kick in other great writers like Skip, Paul, & Paul and you have but one thing...A masterpiece. The next thing that makes the cd great is Mark's vocals. This is the best I've heard Chesnutt sound. Close your eyes...Listen...Change the voice...what do you have? BOB WILLS, KING GEORGE, T-BYRD, CLASSIC CHESNUTT & SOMEBODY WE'VE NEVER HEARD BEFORE. (#1) Great song to make money and sale cd's off of. The vocal range of (#2), "This Heartache Never Stops", is great. The Bob Wills style of (#3), "If I Ever Find My Way Back Home", makes me jump up and dance. (#4) The Tradition and CLASSIC CHESNUTT and touch of T-Bird/Strait in "I'll Get You Back" is great! (#5) is straight out of BOB WILLS. Change the voice, and it's him. We need more of this! (#6) is straight KING GEORGE (STRAIT). It's great for Chesnutt to be close to MCA & Dean Dillion. Great Song. (#7) Two words "CRANK IT!!!". It's in a King George, "Adalida" kinda style. He even sings about "Ponchatrain". (#8) is a touch of Chesnutt with a new twist. A 10+++ Springer song. Hmmm, "King Springer!!!" (#9) CLASSIC CHESNUTT. A Saturday night 2-step and sing along with song. A must Request at the Cotton Eyed Joe here in Knoxville. (#10) Turn it up and hit "Repeat All" on your cd player. Chesnutt is great and has a perfect cd. I can write a book about each song. The collection would be called "Chesnutt's Masterpiece".
