Editorial Reviews

2006 album from American pop group Cock Robin, their first new studio album in over 16 years. The two original members, Anna Lacazio and Peter Kingsbery have reformed and composed 13 new and unreleased tracks, the first single being ''I Don't Want To Save The World''. Formerly signed by Columbia in 1985, Cock Robin was revealed to the public thanks to two hits - ''When Your Heart Is Weak'' & ''The Promise You Made''. After their break-up, Kingsbery has recorded solo material, but nothing has been as successful as his time in this band alongside Anna.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, October 29, 2006

Well, what an incredible surprise! I thought the Cock Robin legacy had ended years ago. Lucky for me and the thousands of other Cock Robin devotees the genius of Peter and Anna did not end. This album is quite remarkable. When it arrived I immediately put it in my computer to listen. I assumed it would be good, but had no idea what to really expect. So many years have passed. If this was on vinyl I would have already worn it out. Don't walk -- rush to get this CD. To a huge fan like myself, this is a gift from God. I am thrilled by the quality of Peter and Anna's music. I tell everyone that Cock Robin is the greatest under rated band (duo) of all time! Anna and Peter thank you so much for this work of art. I hope we won't have to wait another 20 years for the next effort. Thank you - Thank you - Thank You

I always thought that I was the sole fan left of CR. I could not get through a day of high school without listening to their debut album (yeah, I am pushing 40 now). I recall sneaking out of the house late at night so that I could drive to LA and see them. Those were the days! I love Peter's solo stuff, but it just never seemed to have the finesse of the CR stuff. This album is going to be my highlight of 2007!

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Days Are Here Again!!!, January 27, 2007
This review is from: I Don't Want to Save the World (Audio CD)
I absolutely LOVE this album!!! I was a HUGE Cock Robin fan in the 80's--and followed Peter Kingsbery's career after the band broke up. (I tried to follow Anna LaCozio's, but she kind of dropped out of sight.) Quite by accident, I stumpled across this album on the internet, and first down loaded it from I Tunes, but of course I had to get the CD as well. Peter Kingsbery and Aimee Mann were the best singer-songwriters and led the best bands in the 80's. Unfortuntely, Kingsbery never seemed to get the marketing push his talent deserves. All that is a long way of saying I NEVER thought I would hear Peter Kingsbery and Anna Lacozio singing together again. What a pleasant surprise this album was! Like the older Cock Robin albums and Kingsbery's solo work, this album is loaded with catchy hooks, inventive arrangements and production, stellar musicianship, and spectacular vocals. Like Buckingham and Nicks, Kingsbery and LaCozio are MEANT to sing together! Their voice blend so well--and when they really let loose, like they do at the end of "Superhuman," the only thing left to do is light a cigarette!!! We had to wait 17 years for this record, but it was worth the wait!!! If you love catchy, inventive pop music, you'll love this!!!
