Makes you wanta dance!,

Every song on this CD forces you to move. From the wind up on "Straight to ...Number One" through "So Hot" and finally with "Would You..." this music will have you shuffling your feet (WARNING: DO NOT PLAY WHILE AT WORK! You will not be able to hide those tapping toes or drumming fingers from showing.) "Life's a Beach" and "Tango in Harlem" show the artists' lyrical humor and style, while the hypnotizing melody of "Are You Talking About Me" reminds one of a boneless cobra swaying to a modern, beautiful Sade-type of sound. This is the type of music that Napster was made for, highlighting new artists and discovering far flung talents.

"Would you...? ",

This review is from: I Find You Very Attractive (Audio CD)
This music is "So hot." From the very first to the very last it has you riveted. The words are very clear and easy to understand. I mean--very clear with no hesitation. A stimulating rhythm along with dreamy lyrics make this a must have. You will recognize two of the songs, "So hot" and "Straight to...number one" as the theme songs for HBO's "G-String Divas." The song "Would you...? hmmm" doesn't leave you guessing. I like this CD and recommend it to anyone old enough to hmmm...vote.

Why isn't this HUGE??,
By Eskia M. (Madison, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews

About a year or two ago, I heard "Would you?" on a radio station I could barely pick up. Through the static, I said -- "this is an awesome song -- I'll be hearing this everywhere soon."The dj didn't backannounce the song title or band, and for a year a wandered the net trying to find this song again. I never heard it on the radio again. After a while, I gave up the hunt. But the song remained in my head -- tormenting me! Finally, one day about a week ago I tried searching for it one more time, this time successfully. I've played both versions of "Would You?" constantly since getting the disc. I can't decide which I like more: the over the top samba-styled Rio mix, or the more sultry original version. (I call the Rio mix the "Victory Dance Song". Once you hear it, you'll know why. The horns personify the guys reaction to the vocalist's repeated question.) I also love "Straight To Number One". The rest of the album makes excellent background music -- but I keep going back to "Would You?"
