5.0 out of 5 stars Makes you wanta dance!
Every song on this CD forces you to move. From the wind up on "Straight to ...Number One" through "So Hot" and finally with "Would You..." this music will have you shuffling your feet (WARNING: DO NOT PLAY WHILE AT WORK! 3.0 out of 5 stars It Just Doesn't Go Anywhere
I don't have a lot to say about this CD. I bought it because of one track in particular, but overall, I just felt like the music on here came from attempts to be clever or intriguing. It seemed like the group wanted to go somewhere with it but never really got started or knew where to take it.

Every song on this CD forces you to move. From the wind up on "Straight to ...Number One" through "So Hot" and finally with "Would You..." this music will have you shuffling your feet (WARNING: DO NOT PLAY WHILE AT WORK! You will not be able to hide those tapping toes or drumming fingers from showing.) "Life's a Beach" and "Tango in Harlem" show the artists' lyrical humor and style, while the hypnotizing melody of "Are You Talking About Me" reminds one of a boneless cobra swaying to a modern, beautiful Sade-type of sound. This is the type of music that Napster was made for, highlighting new artists and discovering far flung talents.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Would you...? ", November 16, 2000

This music is "So hot." From the very first to the very last it has you riveted. The words are very clear and easy to understand. I mean--very clear with no hesitation. A stimulating rhythm along with dreamy lyrics make this a must have. You will recognize two of the songs, "So hot" and "Straight to...number one" as the theme songs for HBO's "G-String Divas." The song "Would you...? hmmm" doesn't leave you guessing. I like this CD and recommend it to anyone old enough to hmmm...vote.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why isn't this HUGE??, August 15, 2001

About a year or two ago, I heard "Would you?" on a radio station I could barely pick up. Through the static, I said -- "this is an awesome song -- I'll be hearing this everywhere soon."

The dj didn't backannounce the song title or band, and for a year a wandered the net trying to find this song again. I never heard it on the radio again.

After a while, I gave up the hunt. But the song remained in my head -- tormenting me!

Finally, one day about a week ago I tried searching for it one more time, this time successfully.

I've played both versions of "Would You?" constantly since getting the disc. I can't decide which I like more: the over the top samba-styled Rio mix, or the more sultry original version.

(I call the Rio mix the "Victory Dance Song". Once you hear it, you'll know why. The horns personify the guys reaction to the vocalist's repeated question.)

I also love "Straight To Number One".

The rest of the album makes excellent background music -- but I keep going back to "Would You?"

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun music but hard to classify, September 5, 2003

The remix track "Touch and Go" is one of the season one songs for Queer as Folk and is even better in the version of track one on the CD. Hard to describe except as a fusion of swing jazz and dance club, most of the tracks are very seductive to listen to over and over again. The lyrics are both sexy and humorous, a great combination in my opinion. I would love to find more music like this so I hope someone else may have some suggestions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable CD, February 6, 2002

If you don't jump up and start to dance to "Let's Go Straight to Number One" then you need to check your heart to see if it is still beating. This CD offers an amazing mix of dance music, blues, and just great background music. The lead female singer's voice is incredible, backed up by even better instrumentals. I don't know why the DJ's aren't playing this - but they should be. Every song is a winner. BUY IT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars CD Ruined My Day, February 27, 2001

This review is from: I Find You Very Attractive (Audio CD)
I got this CD late at last night and made the mistake of playing it for the first time on high volume (with earphones on - highly recommended) just after midnight. I couldn't stop playing it until after 2:00 A.M., and then had to put it on again this morning when I got up. It's been playing all day and I can't get any work done. This is a danerous album: infectious + addictive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow !, September 10, 2003
The first time I heard a song from Touch and Go was during the movie ''Jump tomorrow'' . I bought this CD for this haunting song ;''Life is a beach''.

I was really surprised that the whole CD is very enjoyable .Cool, up beat electronic songs with horns. Ideal for a cocktail party or a drive to the ocean.

Would like to learn more about this group.

I'm just floating away with this track. When I first listened to it I was like diving in something, every sound was a great pleasure. The voice, the rhythm, the piano... I've never played a song for so many times again and again before. This one caught me with its grace and beauty. It's on my mind, I still hear its tunes. It makes me feel so happy... You got to listen this track !!! Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars My friend Harvey, November 11, 2000

I've never been a one primarily for lyrics, more of a tune/beat man myself and so it was easy to enjoy 'touch and go'as it has loads of rhythm. I first heard them on Charlie Gillett's radio show where he played 'Mein Freund Harvey' and it just clicked. Although I had never heard of them before and could nt tell what type of music they would 'fall into' I was pleasantly surprised when I recognised 'Would you'...hmmm. Considering that I had originally went into the record store to buy Alabama3 and ending up instead splashing out £15,( that's the UK for you) I'm certainly not disapointed. It's one of those albums that you can put on and let it play and play. All I can say is 'I definitely Would, I find this very attractive'

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot!, April 30, 2004

I went looking for this CD after first hearing it as the theme song for G-String Divas, the HBO documentary special about a year ago. Finally found it here, but it was on back-order for a long time. I absolutely love every song on this CD, it is my fav. I would love to see this group somewhere or hear more about them.
