I have been a fan of Perri for years, Lori shines on this project. I mean every song from the classic remake of Love Lifted Me to Tribution, she covers mid-tempo, ballads and uptempo tracks. There is not a throw away in the batch. Treat yourself to great music, if you love Anita, Aretha or Ann Nesby you've got to purhase this CD and treat yourself to mello inspiraing music that toches the heart.

Unlike many of the musical artist out today, who try desperately to sound like someone else, because they have no vocal identity of their own, Lori Perry is in a class all by herself. Her smooth, jazzy, warm distinguised vocal tones are soothing, down right mesmerizing! The lyrical content of this project is edifying and reassuring - truly able to uplift on any given day. This is a keeper. Big ups to Lori!

Lori Perry is one of the great jazz vocalist. The richness in her voice is pure pleasure. Being a lover of both jazz and gospel music, I Found It in You is the perfect fusion of the two. I am looking forward to her next jazz/gospel CD. I encourage all to buy this CD and be blessed.

I have purchased two copies of this CD and it has been a blessing - everyday. I like the R&B/Jazz and Gospel interweavings! Can't wait for the next CD!! Keep sangin, Lori!!!

I first discovered Lori Perry when I was reading the credits for the movie Set It Off. I wanted to know who it was who was singing that haunting song that was played when Queen Latifah had her final showdown with the police. It was Lori Perry. Unfortunately, that song is not on this cd. But I'm not sorry that I bought this contemporary gospel cd full of music that she penned herself. I especially like the song 9-11 where she puts to song how we all felt about that awful day when the twin towers were destroyed.

I was watching the Gospel Fest televised on the Word Network (2007) and this artist, whom I never heard before, or even seen, sang a tune (which out found out later)called "Kingdom." I fell in love with that tune instantaneously. It just so happened, I was recording the program so I was able to get the artist name and go from there. That is when I found out A) she did many, many backup singing for Anita Baker, Pat Metheny, and many others. And to top it off, George Duke is behind this project. A big fan of George too, I was able to detect his magic along with Lori's making this CD so powerful-spiritually. So, before I knew it, I purchased the CD. I must confess, this cd made me break down crying - literally. The songs are straight-up songs of love to God/Jesus. That's it. Enough said.

Better sequencing could have done wonders for this gem. From track 5 on, the album is flawless and impressive. Still a magnificent album.

For too many years in my opinion, this talented artist contributed her soulful voice on background vocals for such widely known artist as Anita Baker, George Duke, Brain Culbertson just to name a few. Finally...she is in the background no longer on this CD.

Surprisingly the songs contained on this CD is more inspirational as opposed to secular. Far from disappointing, I give this CD a "4-star" rating. The overall song selections are the only slight nock on this CD. However, two wonderfully stand-out songs which makes the CD worth purchasing in its own right are (1)Wrote This Song (2)9-11. In conclusion, this is a good listening CD with all the ingredients to have been a excellent CD with a slightly different choice in songs
contained. I highly recommend the CD with hopes that a follow-up is forthcoming.
