Book Description

October 18, 2010

I hate that I'm going bald.
I hate that I still make fun of bald people.
I hate karma.

Amateur haters, step aside. Time to learn what it really means to be miserable. Because this guy hates everything. From hating the little irks that happen now and then (like the water that squirts out of the mustard bottle) to hating the unfortunate realities of today's world (like that superheroes don't exist...but villains do), Matthew DiBenedetti tells readers how he really feels.

With such a variety of miserable musings, you'll find something to laugh at—and someone to loathe with—in this book.

More About the Author

Matthew DiBenedetti redefines the term hater. As the author who spews loathing about all "those" people who we can't tolerate, in I Hate Everyone.; and leaves nothing untouched in the similarly spiteful I Hate Everything.; he knows exactly what's up when it comes down to hating on everything and everyone. Inspired by too many years in a life sucking corporate job, and supported by a deep groundwork of family, friends, relationships and real "life" in a dark corner of New Jersey; even cheerful optimists will commiserate with and come love to hate with Matt.

5.0 out of 5 stars A-Ha! November 16, 2010
Format:Paperback
Shed the guilt about secretly not caring for something by picking up this little jewel of a book called I HATE EVERYTHING by Matthew DiBenedetti. The author is outrageously funny in the range of items he shares with the reader that he hates. He goes from some one liners on a page such as 'I hate not knowing everything' to pages where he glues together related ideas as in:

'I hate that wind chimes don't always chime.
I hate the wind. I hate that you saw that coming.
I hate being predictable.'

Or, more for the season:

'I hate putting up Christmas lights.
I hate when the light strands are all knotted.
I hate that one little bad bulb makes all the
other lights on the strand go out.

I hate when it's time to take down the
Christmas lights.
I hate when people leave their Christmas lights
up all year long.
I hate that I don't have the audacity to
do that myself.'

There are probably not too many things Matthew DiBenedetti doesn't hate, but instead of this being a book from a whiner and complainer, the manner in which he places his feelings is so entertaining and also so well designed (on lined notebook paper with very clever line drawing illustrations) that reading the book keeps a smile on your face. How can someone be so negative in content and produce such a positive book? I hate that! Grady Harp, November 10

5.0 out of 5 stars My mom who hates everything, loves this December 28, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this for my mom for christmas because she really does hate everything. I skimmed through the book and I loved it. Its incredibly funny and really makes you think about the author. When my mom unwrapped the present, she seemed offended at first but when she opened it and began to read it she was laughing the whole time. Its clever and contradicting. I recommend this book for everyone!

This book exposes the utter hatred I have for everything in this world. If it wasn't for this book I'd probably not be able to properly express my angst.

Not bad. Sometimes funny. At times I felt bad for the author, at times I didn't. He hates parents that talk about kids,I do that. That was funny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute table book
This book is cute. It makes you think about all the things you hate as well. A good book to read aloud to company for fun. You won't laugh out loud though, its not funny like that.
