Moz strikes again with killer B-side, but a bit money grab?
I love Morrissey as much as the next guy and buy virtually everything he releases, but this is getting crazy! In the last few weeks, Morrissey has released his "You Are the Quarry" CD for the THIRD TIME in the U.S. - sure, the slew of B-sides and DVD make it worth it, but NOW Moz has saw fit to release a NEW single in the UK only with more EXCLUSIVE B-sides like "No One...

but not the record company
Though the song is a strong one, and the photo of Morrissey as a priest is hilarious, the thought of spending this kind of money for two songs is far more blasphemous than anything.
You are the quarry, indeed.

Moz strikes again with killer B-side, but a bit money grab?, January 19, 2005
This review is from: I Have Forgiven Jesus 1 (Audio CD)
I love Morrissey as much as the next guy and buy virtually everything he releases, but this is getting crazy! In the last few weeks, Morrissey has released his "You Are the Quarry" CD for the THIRD TIME in the U.S. - sure, the slew of B-sides and DVD make it worth it, but NOW Moz has saw fit to release a NEW single in the UK only with more EXCLUSIVE B-sides like "No One Can Hold A Candle To You" -fortunately, Boz Boorer's soaring guitar and Moz's plaintive, stunning vocal make it a full-blown rocker ready for mass consumption - could a single - in fact, if you took all of Moz's recent B-sides and released 'em as a new Morrisey album, IT would be album of the year - yes, they're that good, and Moz hasn't been this consistently BRILLIANT since his "Suedehead" and Smiths days! Get out your wallets now!

The Quarry isnt Empty: Moz Rocks Some More, February 23, 2005
This review is from: I Have Forgiven Jesus 1 (Audio CD)
Morrissey of late has gotten his act together in the song writing department and if you found "You are the Quarry" great than this single is a must, although I have forgiven Jesus is on the full album the other Song is no B side: "No one can Hold A Candle to You" is a quality song deserving of an album spotlight not a b-side. But this makes the single worth buying. While this is certainly a fan's album it is well worth the 9 dollars.
